That was "Roll for it", when Prime knocked megatron out of starscream's hand. megatron was being used a s "the antimatter gun."

(he must really hate himself for letting starscream "handle " him. :lol )

meh, everyone knows that the minibots were largely ignored and unknown until Lucastron hired a bunch for his successful Cyberfilms, including Galaxy Wars and Willowbot.  But after the waning success of these films the minibots had trouble finding work, until they discovered the much overlooked niche of minibot-pr0n.  Many careers were 'short'-lived however until the start of the great war, where many were simply just stepped on :thumb

:lmao

when i wrote my unofficial encyclpaedia a while back, i commented that the general idea of "downsizing" (mentioned in the wreckers comics) was part of a slow evolutionary process. Small TFs have always lived alongside their larger bretheren and some, such as the cassetrons/bots have been able to sybiotically "link" in some way to their larger hosts.

I put forward the idea that the technology created for larger gestault bots, ie the multi link synapse, is also very similar to that of the synapses found in Tfs that can powerlink and also in other technology, such in Tfs that can be omnipresent (g1 optimus prime and beast wars magmatron for example).  The synapes systems also helped technoorganic maximals and preds intergrate their biological instinks with thier core cpu's.

and small tfs, such as Bumblebee and chums are just part of that process. They however, cannot link.

Do you "link" with your toys on a nightly basis?

This thread is getting hot from all the flaming.

I wish the word "flaming" could actually have little flames all over it. That would be pretty cool. Like when Brawn threw Thundercracker in the oil fire :thumb

Primal-Convoy: officially the mini-bots were never part of any intentional scheme to "downsize" the Transformers. They were simply a variant that existed. I mean, compared to TFs like Omega Supreme, TFs the size of Ultra Magnus would appear "downsized." The fact is that TF sizes varied greatly. In official G1 canon, the only time the TFs intentionally reduced their size to make themselves more fuel efficient was when they created Micromasters. Otherwise the Minibots aren't substantially any more or less fuel efficient than any other Transformer.

WRONG!

Just kidding ;)

Or am I :eek

Anyway - the way I remember it (the correct answer) is that Micro Machines were big sellers back in the day and Hasbro wanted a piece of the pie.

The End.
