Alternators not Dead Yet - New Wal*Mart Listings!

The only ones I want are the Caddi and maybe the Mustang.

Still scratching my head on who that Cadu could be. Blurr, maybe? Definitely not Megs.  Dodge SRT-10 vs any Cadillac made--Escalade included = no contest.

Their just killing time (aka toy filler) before all the good Car models are used for the movie line, for which I believe will branch FROM Alts.

If u r right, and I have no prob with this, I just hope the movie line toys are 1/24 scale also.

I hate massive size differences in toys, wich is why my collection is limited to Alts right now.

I agree 100% plow. Much as I liked some of the energon and cybertron toys, how bad does it suck to have a jeep or communications truck smaller than a sportscar, or a gigantic ass motorcycle that dwarfs a jet?  Thats why I ve pretty much sold everything off but my alts, as well as E-arcee and C-lugnutz since theyre both more or less to scale...

It's always bothered me a bit too (since it's been that way since 1984), but I think 1:24 scale is a bit much to ask if you're talking about characters that transform into tanks and jets.

Well with tanks, jets, etc its ok if theyre not exactly to scale, just so long as theyre noticeably bigger than the cars. Like deluxe for the cars, mega (or whatever the $19.99 price point is called) for the jets would work.

that was the approximate size difference in G1... and it doesn't work IMO.

an F-15 is about 64 feet long, compared to (for example) a Mazda RX-8 which is about 14.5 feet long... that's a pretty significant size differential.

One thing that shocks me as Alternators height is concerned is the S2000. The life size and the TF car, both are tiny as hell compared to other cars in the line. I look at the real car and I'm like "Man! If this were a real Tf, he couldn't be that tall." But some how, Overdrive still manages to be the same height as Grimlock. The Corvette is longer but he's still the shortest bot.

It'll never happen but I still wonder how tall the VW Bumblebee would have been next to the other bots.

Alt Tracks is basically a stand-up-former (you know it's true), but Overcharger has foldy legs and feet that help out a lot. Plus, Tracks loses the whole lenth of his trunk since that ends up on his shoulders.

But yeah.

Honestly I was fearing an Alt Bumblebee for the reason you mentioned. I don't want a Pubescent Growth Spurt Bumblebee kthx

Looking at how the Seekers Transform. Do you think a real jet would be way taller than Grimlock in bot mode? They lose the whole cockpit beyond the intake (shoulder thingies). For instance If MP Starscream is 10" tall in bot mode would he really look all that weird next to the Alts/BT? Grimlock is like 7"

Answer: yes

Look at a 1:48 scale F-15... that thing's still huge compared to a 1:24 scale car. The :Dc jets in G1 were already taller than the :ab cars, even with that wacky scale they had going on.

I need to start paying attention to model planes. I keep saying this, Screamer is still gonna be kicking their asses.

This makes me think. If they were in scale, Devastator would be unneeded. Superion would be Ginormous. Menasaur would be the height of a seeker. Which would be good against an average sized Autobot bot still no more competition then they normally have. The Constructicons would be fairly big. Some, if not all, taller than Prime.
