Rico/Rollbar quality alt. As for those two easy passes. Not only did hey not get remolded heads but from what I understand they were very poor KO quality.

they weren't that bad.  Mine are on par with any other alt.  Rico's arms stay in the socket better than my BT-07.

My Rollbar is the same as Swindle. The gold painted arms are easily scuffed though. The Rico I had a limp shoulder. blah!

I knew the Alt line wasn't dead. It seems to be a trend that we declare the alt line dead the closer we get to the end of the year. I'm going to wait to see pictures before I pass any judgement on these characters. The Jag Ravage thing is weird, and Hasbro did mention that they wanted to put Beast Wars homages into either the Alts or the next toyline so they are possibilities.

My Ricco and Rollbar were fine. Rollbar Actually feels a tad more solid than Swindle. I did a touchup here and there to mod him and I'm quite happy with him.

 

Ricco had the sunscreen-nose thing but 5 minutes with tools and paint fixed that.

 

Have to admit the Jaguar thing has me pondering what's up with that. Would have been nice to have that as Ravage to begin with. Then turn the existing Ravage (a la headchange) to Breakdown or someone.

Ravage as a car that turns into a jaguar / cat-like animal of some kind would have been really cool. But realistic earth alt modes and the Beast era just don't seem like they should mix IMO.

I dont see why it should matter. I have gotten over the Alts needing to be G1 homages.

 

Right now for me- they are just the most awesome realistic cars as awesome articulated bots.

 

Although i do agree that the slow paced releases of them - and the constant repaints/remolds get tiresome. But I dont think that would bother folks as much IF

A) there wasnt this notion that these were supposed to be G1

B) They werent so darn expensive. But even having said that - i love every alt i have have and feel that they are all worth EVERY penny i paid.  Of course i can say that cause i am by no means a completionist.

 

I wish they would release more than one new fig every 3 months.

I don't really see why it's a problem. If the character looks good that's all I need. I never felt that Alternators were G1 redone. I say Alts should open up to every line.
