Too many damn dorky kids, no characterization at all especially the minicons, lousy animation, weak storylines.

 

Toys:

Unarticulated bricks for the most part, some awful designs, wont mention any nameshotshot, gimmicks that detracted from the toys, tiny robots with semi-realistic alt modes makes NO sense.

 

BUT on the good side, we did get a toy Unicron and a damn good one at that. Bendy Prime mold rocks, as do any repaints of it, Thrust was cool, had some articulation and had cone-head homage. I liked the idea of the Star Saber, Requiem Blaster and Skyboom Shield, as well as the street team's alt modes (these at least made sense, size wise) and gestalt mode. Sideways was sorta cool, as was Wheeljack. And as was said before, it all lead to Energon which isn't a bad line at all.

Whoa! Hold up! I didn't mind Armada, I just think that Energon and especially Beast Wars are better. I own quite a few Armada toys and like them all, and I heard the comic rocked.

What I hate about Armada is it's Pokemon drawings and silly story line.

 

It's so freaking gay! Most of the characters are so annoying. I'd rather listen to Wheelie talk than any of the Armada characters. Hell, Daniel was more tolerable than those moron kids in Armada. Energon's Kicker? I'd take Spike and his exo-suit anyday.

 

How can you go from an awesome storyline in Beast Wars (I'd take BM over Armada anyday) to Armada? Wasn't Beast Wars targeted for kids during it's day?

 

These people are ruining Transformers. Were these Jerks in charge of producing Armada even TF fans to begin with?

 

I bet kids today would appreciate TF more if they kept it ala G1 or BW style.

 

One more thing: Why is it everytime a TF transforms in Armada, he's got to do an action pose? If they're gonna pose, pose when they need to like when Prime leaped in the air blasting away at Decepticons in TFTM. Not every G D time.

The show had an epic storyline...the fandom just didn't watch and then said it sucked latery by assumption. The rest watched it..half enjoyed it, the others just didn't get it...they won't admit a kiddy show had a storyline that went over their heads. Its a quantum tangent story, you simps.

armada was okay. I kept getting the feeling that the american cartoon had things cut out. the dialog in certain eps was way too "pokemon" for my taste. I didn't get into it until starscream joined the autobots. after that, the series really took off.

:roll I watched every episode and still thought it sucked. This show did not go over my head by any means, I got what it was about. That doesn't change the fact that it lacked any form of quality. And quantum tangent, please. Armada was by no means that complex.

It IS possible to watch the show, and not enjoy it. I, for one, thought that far too many of the early and middle episodes were simply not done well, in both animation and the translation for the dub. While I enjoyed Unicron Battles, I still thought that overall the series was not at all as good as it might have been, especially considering the quality of previous series.

 

Your presumption that because people didn't buy every toy in Armada, they didn't particularly like the show, that they have no RIGHT to enjoy Energon is wrong. Energon has thus far proven to be a vastly different style of series (in both toys and show) than Armada. Energon seems to have connected with the fans better than Armada. All fans have the right to enjoy whatever series they like, for some, it is G1, some prefer Armada, and some like the Beast Era.

 

Your statement that anime is "a cultural animation style that is superior to any western animation in EVERY way" is an OPINION NOT A FACT. There is some anime that is good, some is bad, some is mediocre. It is NOT superior to western animation, it is just different. Armada, Cowboy Bebop, and Gundam are all vastly different in animation and quality. Don't confuse opinions with facts.

 

I think you need to cool your jets. People can chose to like what they like, often it won't be what YOU like, but you don't need to post these hateful posts.

 

 

(And I really don't know where you got the idea that Armada had a sophisticated story, it had some good arcs (Starscream, portions of the Unicron Battles), but nothing that hasn't been done before or done better.)
