It can't be that bad. I thought it was pritty cool. I know it was'nt the best line but the story was written by Chris Sarracini; A real wrighter!

If it was'nt for Armada, we wouldn't have Unicron.

No, if it wasn't for Transformers: The Movie we wouldn't have Unicron. Armada(the show) was poorly written, poorly animated, and had way too many sassy teenage kids. Not to mention most of the toys were ugly bricks.

Nothing more needs to be said. :redface

the toys

after beast wars and RID, these toys somehow became bricks, IE hotshot who cant even hold his own gun, and cyclonus with nothing to hold weapons on

ball joints? whered they go?

knees also vanished, megatron, tidal wave, jetfire and overload

and lets not forget superbase prime's no leg articulation at all

Unicron was the one saving grace of the whole line. I guess the minicons were kind of neat, too.

I liked armada, the toys were good and G1 like.

You could feel the money you paid for them when you held them, unlike the overpriced cheaply made beast wars POS's

Plus without Armada there would be no Energon or a toy unicron that wasn't completely kibble covered or fat.

The TV show didn't need kids but the comic rocked.

The show was the downer for me. I like most of the Armada Toys, but the show was painfull to watch most times. The human characters were annoying at best, and the dialog seemed forced most of the time. The animation was inconsistant and the name mistakes really annoyed me.

I should be able to overlook most of these things, but in this day and age I expect a little more from my cartoons. (even if they are for kids)

The toys were not bad, some were bricks but had some redeeming qualities. Personally Scavenger is my favorite, even though he lacks legs of any kind and is a total brick. But what really ruined Armada for me was the crappy television show. I wanted the strangle the kids, I wanted to make Scavenger live up to his badass character that was eluded to, I wanted the bots to get each others names right, I wanted the minicons to be able to talk, I wanted the episode Carnival to never have existed, and I wanted Armada to live up to the transformers mythos without watering it down, like it did.

I feel that the toys were very well done, especially later releases like Hoist and Wheeljack (shows that the designers had gotten their legs in time for the Energon, and look how well those have been turning out).

The worst of ARmada was the show. Tried to take itself too seriously w/o anything to back it up, at least RID was intended to be a bit goofy.

In addition, considering TFs are main franchise for Takara and Hasbro, the animation quality was pathetic! RID (produced a couple years before) had better animation!

But we all need to keep in mind that while the cartoon basically sucked, it did help sell toys (which weren't that bad), and has led to the creation of Energon (which is shaping up to be a fine addition to the franchise).

The toys were sometimes mediocre. I'm not a huge fan of the minicon concept is all, unless they tf into weapons like the Air Military Team. I guess you could say I like em in small does but not as the main gimmick, like in Energon.

I really felt the minicon activated gimmicks detracted from the Armada toys.
