Hobby Japan August 2006 MP-3 Starscream Article

I am the only one who PREFER THE NEW MOLD? If you remember the show, it is true that Starscream doesn't have those kibbles on the waist... BUT HE DOES NORE HAVE IT ON HIS LEGS EITHER!

The improvement on the Jet Mod is just amazing, and I simply doesn't see where the Bot mode has been disminished. The kible on his waist is just a invitation for more cool posing (while on the legs, it would only look good if following the legs). I also think that the new position of the kible offers more room for articulation.

This was a claim from a TF fans who like to constantly transform his bots.

No, you're not the only one.

The jet mode has improved a LOT. It has almost no kibble at all any more :clap

I really love the robot. The new version is even better looking than the old one. It's much smoother. My only real gripe is that he now looks like a Movie/season 3 era Transformer with all the rounded parts in the robot mode. That's not necessarily a bad thing though.

I wasn't too sure about getting him at first. But I'm very sure now. Hell, I'm thinking of pre-ordering it instead of waiting for it to come to my local shop (which usually is about a month or two behind on new releases).

You just reminded me of the About to be leader Starscream from the movie. You know when he's all buff with way more detail. I always thought it'd be cool for them to have that Screamer as a toy or on the Show full time. Now we sorta have em.

You cant be serious. Besides the waist flaps, He looks like he jump out of the TV screen and into a more realistic body.

Never once did I see Starscream with all that crap all over his arms.

Never once did I see the arches on his shoulders (although it has been pointed out that they may fold down).

Never once did I see Starscream with "fast packs" attatched to the sides.

And of course the waist thing.

He is as different now to G1 Screamer as Alt Hound is to G1 Hound.

If this stuff is removable/interchangeable, I'll stfu, but as it stands, the version I see is not the G1 Screamer I knew.

It's just a new version in the Binaltech style.

He's still a Master Piece. This is the ultimate Starscream ever produced. I'll go as far as saying the Ultimate Transfomer.

Can I get a HELL YEAH! :clap  :thumb

This is by far THE BEST Transformer ever! Best accuracy jet for a plane Transformer and an awesome robot form on top of that.

Everyone saying this is not a Masterpiece should take a closer look at MP Prime and compare it to Hybrid Prime. The Hybrid version has much better articulation than MP Prime. I'd go as far as saying that MP Prime doesn't deserve being called a Masterpiece if a tiny bot can outdo it.

I said a more realistic body. It's impossible to make a Tf that looks spot on with the G1 toon and still be able to transform. Never once did I ever see Wheels on Prime's legs, lights on his toes, Gray gun, Pistons in his elbows and knees.......

I think complaining just reinforces your fanboy'd view of making him worse in your eyes.

Anyway....it still isn't the final product yet. :P

What if MP Screamer came with all of his "King" Movie gear? That would rock.

Well, I've had some more time to think about this, and while I still stand by my original criticisms and I completely understand why others are very upset about the changes, I have warmed up to them.

I think this Starscream is one of the best ones ever. Yeah, the design does deviate quite heavily from the original, but once I saw someone's digipaint of Skywarp and Thundercracker...it was all over...I can't hate this figure anymore.

I've also come to realize that since we have the Classics line coming, and that Starscream has been pretty much left alone as far as any renovations to his original G1 design (aside from a slightly different transformation scheme and  plenty o' articulation), my need for a SUPER ULTRA DIE CAST G1 ACCURATE Starscream has subsided, as has my need for anything from any other line to resemble anything from G1.

So yeah, I'm gonna buy him.

And it hasn't even been stated that while some detractors say that Starscream's robot mode doesn't look so great, Prime's truck mode is also nothing resembling his G1 version.

But that doesn't keep me from loving it to death

Im very, very happy that i got mine pre-ordered and that photo makes him look soooo evil

oh and hes giving me this gundam and/or macross vibe now, I aprove
