Have not watched the rest yet. Wednesdat is the plan. I need my parents tv and with the World Cup soccer tournament, I cannot use it untill them.

I could watch it on my own tv but black and white does not do the show justice. Of course I could watch the interviews.  :tftongue

Got in a documentary about the Great War yesterday and I have been watching 3 parts of that. So much to do, so little time.

Funny you bring that up. Besides the 2 Beast Machines episodes I have on tape (well 2 tapes) I only watched the show on a black and white television when it was originally airing. I was living on my own back then and that's the only tv I had.

That is funny indeed.

I suppose I could buy an HD tv, especially since I also own an Xbox 360 but those are WAY out of my price range right now.  :tftongue

Of course black and white is not too bad but seeing how I have not seen these episodes in ages, I should really watch them in all their glory. Only one more day anyways.

Black and white?! wtf!?

Hey, its TFs or color television, not both

True, I could sell all my Transformers and buy a HD-tv.

But not even that would keep me from looking at my empty shelves and feel sad. So I will just wait patiently for them to drop in price.

And an HD-tv I can easily buy a few years from now at a lower price. Most Transformers will have gone up in price unless the Transformers movie is a huge dissapointment.

Smokescreened: Madman Entertainment is currently releasing Beast Wars on DVD in Australia and New Zealand (Region 4, PAL) - which means Beast Machines should also be forthcoming. If you'd rather get the series in R4 PAL then you can wait.. but if you can't wait, then go ahead and order an R1 NTSC copy. Depends on how long you're willing to wait and how much you're willing to spend. I've been a BM fan ever since the show came out and I've already seen the series several times over (and still have some eps on tape) - so I can wait for the R4/PAL version to come out here rather than pay import/shipping costs for a R1/NTSC set. Especially when I still have to gradually replace my entire stolen DVD collection... (-_-)

I'm alright with waiting if I have to, if it means it's got anything improved over the NTSC release, then the wait is worth it.  Even though I did honestly find the G1 cartoon to be dull, maybe when I've rejoined the Amazon DVD rental plan, I'll pick some more DVDs and try to get a new DVD player.

It's annoying how so few TF DVDs have been released here, even with G1 being a tad dull, it's still better than most of the things that's on TV these days.

theres quite a few actually

g1 dvds

rid dvds

the takara collection (which is our exclusive with super god masterforce out next month)

i only hope that son metrodome will be able to aquire the right to bw soon so we can have them on dvd too.

i may be in touch with you soon as i've recorded cybertron off sky and putting them on dvd. :thumb

bm was a good series and the one thing i'd disagree with in the review is that megatron was the same as he was in bw. he was still operating his agenda and planning the maximals downfall

I really want to buy the set, but the $60 tag + the fact I already have them on cd makes me say "I can wait another week."

BTW, what "RID DVD"?

I agree with Storm, BW Megatron =/= BM Megatron. One of the faults with the BM story (don't get me wrong, I'm still a fan of the show, but it does have its flaws)

Perhaps it was released in Region 2.
