Hi Everyone,

 

Well as you all know this years Botcon exclusive set deals with five of our favorite Beast Wars characters in there Pre-Beast Wars form, with, however, there Beast Wars name.

 

Well I'm trying to think of names in which I can call all my figures when I have them displayed on my shelves. I'm trying to take elements of there BW names and trying to combine it with there personality, alternate mode, and anything else that I think is important to try and come up with a name

 

So far I have:

Cheetor: Speedor (That is hoping he's in the form we all think he should be in)

Optimus Primal: Optimus Prime (I know alot of you are going to b!tch, but I have my reasons and I'm not explain the whole backstory, again. Find some of my other posts and you might read about it)

Rattrap: Biketrap

Rhinox: Tankor (This would be so ironic, but the only kink in the systems is that he probably wont be in some for of tank, but if he's close enough, I might keep the name)

 

I having trouble with Dinobot however. I was thinking of using Chopperface and transposing it into Chopperbot, but that would only work if he was a Helicopter, I think. SO I need your help in think up creative names for Dinobot. Another one I came up with was Backchopper (combo of Backhoe and Chopperface). But I want a good name and I can't come up with anything decent. So think away and type your responses,and if you can help me I will thanks you for years..or a few days till I propaply forget about becuase I'll so much fun with the toys.

 

P.S. If you think of a better name Rattrap, maybe mentioned it as well

 

P.S.S. Just as a reminder, this thread is just for name ideas, if you don't like mine or anyother names poeple might put, keep it to yourselve, this is a constructive thread, not a put down thread.

I think Chopperbot works fine. I've always thought that his tail weapon reminds me of G1 Springer's sword/blade combo, plus Rattrap was always referring him to Chopperface. His alt mode would be an assault helicopter.

 

Or, you can call him Dynamo (a small power generator) and his alt mode can be a tank with an onboard generator that doubles as his weapon.

 

Other names:

 

Dynobot (ripped this one off from TF: War Within), Demobot (a wrecking machine), or even Daibot (big bot.)

 

 

I would call Rattrap "Speedtrap" - seeing how he likes to trip up things.

"Dynobot". Lol.

How about Velocity for Cheetor?

I like ChopperBot over Chopperface. 

I call him ugly.

Use Cheetor's French name: Velocitor -- I've always considered it far better than his English name.

 

I agree that Dinobot should be Dynabot (not Dynobot - from the word "dynamo" or "dynamic").

 

Optimus Primal can remain the same, as the word "Primal" has the same meaning as "Prime" and it isn't semantically associated with his beast mode - so it can be applied to this character regardless of what his alt mode may be. Bot Prime and Primal come from the Latin "Primus" - only that "Prime" is a more 'evolved' version of that word, having undergone changes via Old French and Old and Middle English.

 

As for Rattrap, I'd go for his Japanese name, "Rattle" - it could be associated with an engine rattle?

I agree that Dinobot should be Dynabot (not Dynobot - from the word "dynamo" or "dynamic").

actually any references to his dino mode should be out IMO. Rattrap called Dinobot "chopper face" b/c of his beast mode.
