no diecast, huh? I was considering getting him, but for an all plastic version I'm not going to pay what's currently asked for this figure. If they drop the price, I might just go for it.

it's not like the higher price is completely out of the blue. just compair him to the Alt version. both are all plastic but the BT version also has a better paintjob and comes with additional accesories.

Not sure I can stomache that price for more plastic.  Maybe if the paint quality is much better?  Just not sure I can do it.  Too much cost.

I really have just about had it with Tomy and their attempts to screw Transfans out of excessive amounts of cash.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

you sound like Tomy is making a conscious effort to appeal to both asian and american transfans. i think it's more likely that Tomy is concentrating mostly on the asian market with the american market being a secondary afterthout. AFAIK, it's not unusual for asian transfans to drop this much money on a single item. and it's not just TF's, plenty of collector oriented japanese toylines tend to have expensive price tags.

You make it sound like all Asians understand Japanese and therefore care about the radio show this is linked with. Tomy is making it too Japanese-centric.

Is this 100% confirmed?

when i say "asian market" i mean "japanese market". it's just quicker to type "asian" than "japanese".

Just like Hasbro who supply all of the western world are making their Alts too US centric with the number plates then.

As far as the price goes, this thing is ssupposed to have more isn't it, some kind or art or art book, a cd or something?

If it has that may explain the price.

ps. i think that actress is kinda hot

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I agree.  Somebody get more pics of her.

Kopibot'd.

After I saw the price of the other figure with the mini-Meister - I knew that the diecast on the Kiss Convoy was probably a pipe dream.  :grr

,,KISS convoy, that sounds :ghey. i was expecting a black and white prime with a guitar, not the regular with some cheap surfboard

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

that I would buy.

and BTW this has got to be a kick in the pants for BT collectors... although the paint app differences might be enough for some to import him anyway.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Or enough to go ahead and cancel the BBTS preorder I was considering cancelling anyway. No diecast = no purchase. Stupid mold anyway (storms away sulking).
