This got me curious, and I was looking around at Abrams images. At the bottom of the chest plate, above the belly vents, are those tie-down points or are those the headlights of the tank? And is it my imagination, or is that arm cannon actually made out of the Abrams' engine?

I really really really really hope this comes out as a BT though as well as an Alt if that is the case. Either way though, I am buying this one as soon as possible.

Good call is right.  Now I would say it's almost definately an alt of MPMT. 

 

BTW, am I the only one who thinks the colors are great?  Perfect homage to G1 and they look good.

Oh, I am definitely taking this w/ a grain of salt. However, if it is a hoax, then I really hope that Hasbro is paying attn to the boards since this is a really sweet design. It is a perfect mixture of G1 and new design elements.

Given that this design has gotten more praise on message boards than any other TF that comes to mind in recent times (save maybe Masterpiece Starscream), Hasbro would be crazy to ignore the potential here!

 

Ha, if this isn't an official design it might become one now! (well, I can dream).

 

If it is official, and the fact that the engine clearly transforms into his arm cannon now supports that, then I for one am ready and willing to part with however much money it takes to get one.

 

Having said that... If he is indeed 40cm tall that would be almost twice the height of Masterpiece Starscream! I would kinda prefer the MP line of figures (or at least the ones we now know about) to be of almost equal height. Ho hum...

PS. That G2 colouring is horrible! I'd be hoping for grey or failing that this tan colour (but maybe with grey helmet?).

Agreed, there is no way this is 1:24 scale!  Maybe 1:32 or smaller.  That would still be a great toy.  MP Prime is close to 1:32 scale.  Optimum would be for this to be at a scale and detail level comparable to MP Prime.
