when are these supposed to be released again? in the fall?

NOVEMBER. So start looking in October.

dident i hear somewhere that it would be sept on the classic line?

Bah! He's a f'ugly lookin' toy. But I don't blame HasTak, per se - I blame all the whining fanboys who have been begging for Megatron to be a gun again!

My thoughts exactly.  :thumb

.. but it's not so much the robot mode that bothers me.. more over the gun. Out of all the types of Scifi guns they had at their disposal.. they choose a nerf gun. They could of done something like a cybertronian pistol, or a space cannon.. I'm just not loving the look of that gun, I'm sorry.

I like the dude.... hes a friggin gun again.... *does happy dance, no matter how ugly he is...but the bot mode one me over reeeeal quick...specially since the wing thingies will come off..... though i wish...... oh well who cares

Lawgiver 2 with transforming action and toyetic colorscheme. YOURS IF YOU GRADUATE!

sorry, surprised I hadn't read any posts that mentioend any Judge Dredd comments (he looks that to me! and I'm a Judge Dredd fan), yeah, Megs is in the collection!

Head's all wrong.

My thoughts

Well I'm in the minority. I actually think Megs looks pretty good. Considering of course I expected him to look like total crap after the first pics. First and formost the colours don't bother me a bit. The green is a bit intense but otherwise I really like the purple/green used. They flow nicely with the compulsery orange. Add the green and holy Blot you have Cybertron Megatron reborn. :thumb No doubt this would absolutely rock in C Galvatron colours but unfortunately you take what get.

Alt mode definitely screams Nerf but meh, he's a gun again, and at least has a more convincing alt mold than whatever the hell E Shockblast was supposed to be. What more do you people want? Bot mode IMO is decent. Head sculpt is as close to G1 as it gets, and the proportions are decent. Articulation looks good, and to top it off he has a big ass plasma canon on one arm. I don't get why it's such a big deal it's on the back of his arm, who cares, besides the arm can probably be twisted around to give him a G1 esque pose.

Anyways will definitely buy one, possibly two for the C Galvatron colours. :thumb

Yeah I can see how the black/silver scheme could look gunlike from a distance. Though I'm sure most people will either pose him or only play with him within the confines of there home Hasbro isn't taking any chances. Toy guns are very taboo these days, never know when some ftard kid after playing to much GTA will attempt to pull something that will either get them in serious trouble or shot.

Okay, that is about as political as I'm going to get reguarding this toy. Bottem line is I like it and am actually really excited to be able to get a G1 esque Megatron that looks at least half decent. G1 Megs may have had a near perfect alt mold, hence the controversy, but his bot mode was craptacular tio say the least. Even if a reissue would someday by the grace of God happen I'm not too sure I'd want one. I guess maybe as a collectors piece but as a toy hell no. This Megatron IMO is the best of both worlds. A first time gun for people who don't have an original a nd a imediately recognizable bot mode that by far pwns the original.

Oh, and you all know I'm a Tank not gun person. I could simply say "and this is why Megatron should not be a gun, ets, etc but despite my earlier comments in the b/w threads I'm definitely willing to give this one a chance. Like LMH basically said. Megatron released a gun happens once in a lifetime so enjoy it for what it is and not what you want it to be.
