Can we get pics of this, kindly? I mean... Remy didn't even point this out, I don't think... And with all the hasbro molds, I need to justify purchase somehow.

Homage according to who? You?

i also would like to see how :wtf ....does the name seaspray mean anything!!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

well, maybe not Nautilator exclusively but he does seem to be a general homage to the seacons. he has the same colors and his face even looks like Pirhanacon's.

Some could say his claws remind them of any of the "crab like" Transformers. :D

Shortround is a BW Rampage homage :eek

Why does Shortround NEED to be an homage to ANYTHING? Here's a crazy idea, maybe Shortround is a completely new character, completely unrelated to any previous Transformer!

He might look a bit like the Seacons, but not close enough for anything certain.

And aside from the alt mode, he looks nothing like Seaspray (it feels like I make this point at least once a time!)

The guy on BWTF said the head was some tribute to Jetstorm in BM. Or something like that.

He also said Armorhide was Mirage and Ironhide, I think. TF homages are no different than seeing shapes in clouds.

that's a really good analogy.  I think we've all gotten a little too homage crazy.  It'd be like saying G1 Getaway is an homage to Optimus because they both wear mouth plates...

two characters wearing the likeness of pilots' helmets with the tubes and all does not necessarily mean that Shortround has homage bits of Jetstorm.

Can you imagine if we did that with people?

"Oh hey - he's wearing a red shirt, just like Tom Cruise did once!! HOMAGE!!"

I kind of like his big goofy arms.  The look like big slavering monster arms to me.  Big leech arms from the color and shape, actually.

Shortround is clearly a tribute to Rainbow Brite. :P
