It gets even better. I just couldn't believe someone asking $ 199.99 for this so I contacted the seller asking if it was perhaps a typo and he meant $ 19.99.

This is the reply I got:

No it is a rare item. that usually goes for 50 - 100 dollars and a few  times

has gone for 150 in the last few weeks. Since it took me a long time to  get

one I donlt mind waiting until someone is willing to buy it for $200

AND the alternators line is so popular that loose ones sell for close to  the

same as boxed ones, this one is not incomplete, just loose.

Makes a lot of sense: "usually goes for 50 - 100 dollars" & "150 in the last few weeks" (which were mostly MISB) is a good argument to charge $ 200 for an incomplete version that's no longer MISB.

But wait, according to the seller the absence of a sticker doesn't make it incomplete.

Also, btw, looking at his other items, it's clear that with other figs he doesn't charge the same for a loose alt as for an MISB one.

I was sorely tempted to e-mail him back wishing him lots of luck selling this to someone (before Hasbro decided to also benefit from these prices and re-releases the figure).

I donlt mind waiting until someone is willing to buy it for $200

Which translates to..."I don't mind waiting until I find an idiot willing to pay that much for it".  It's just like what plowking said, a hook for an idiot.  Sad thing is, there probably IS an idiot out there somewhere willing to pay that much.

I don't care much for swerve so if I wanted the mold I'd just go buy tracks.

id hate to tell him my swerve loose w/ box complete costd 30 canadian. and  complete means i got my stickers.

Makes me REAL glad I picked up a lot on eBay consisting of Alt Wheeljack, Swerve, Decepticharge and Shockwave for $125US after shipping back in October/November...

Stunning. No ALt is worth even near that much.  To think of the G1 goodness I could add to my collection for the same price makes that decision for me!

was swerve rare or something?

In my town, yes. I only saw the one I was lucky enough to buy.
