I remember for a while, I thought I would never find Swerve, and then, he was like all over the place! I would see 4 maybe 5 of them sitting on the shelf for weeks at the Dearborn TRU, and now he's no where to be found except eBay. Who would have figured such a thing?

I'm with Plowking. We had several on the shelves here for a while. I got one and wondered if picking up a second would have been advisable for later sales once they were gone, but decided not to as most of my speculating ends up with me just taking the thing back and getting my money back. Who would have guessed Swerve would be going for so much.

 

As to the ebay seller, maybe someday someone will be that desperate, but I don't think so. I can see Hasbro re-releasing him at some point and then he won't get jack for the figure. Which would make me happy. :)

maybe one person is buying them out and then selling on ebay for a high price kinda like a monopoly.....

they were total shelf warmers here so I bought like 4 of them to give as gifts to my non-TF loving buddies (most still like the Alts and a red covette is cool if you don't care what characters).  I had them in a box with the rest of my gifts (I do almost all my b-day and Xmass shopping early, I'm almost done with Xmass for this year already) and the other day I happened to be looking at alts on ebay.  Holy crap!  Needless to say, I sold them off.  I can by 3 alts for buddies for what I got back. Dead end also appears to have increased in value (maybe worth more than the binaltech version).  I have one of those in a box somewhere, but I want to keep him for myself.

It's funny how prices vary.
