Yeah, most of the review smells of ca-ca-poo-poo, but the one thing I found actually interesting was the mechanical "screaming" of the Decepticons. It would make sense that they would be speaking in their native Cybertronian language and not english or any other earth language. It may sound like sreaming to us, but I can imagine if they get the sound effects right it would sound pretty cool. I wouldn't think they would spend the whole movie talking like that, just in the begining until they start fighting the Autobots.

Get back to me when stuff starts blowing up.

i read a few bits and its basicly all the romours summerised and then alot a school boy errors (like the whole spark energon cube thing) also its been pointed out a few times Sound wave wont be showing up in the first flick

so i call BS basicly

Soundwave's possibly been changed SINCE this draft?

The schoolboy errors are IN the script. It's not the reviewer's schoolboy errors. It's the writers'.

Posted this on 2005, might as well share:

My guess at Michael Bay's Rosetta Stone:

Energon Cube = Creation Matrix

Devastator = Bludgeon (character isn't popular enough to make it in the movies, but the name is too bad ass not to include, and the name and alt mode fit)

Bonecrusher = If he lives, Bonecrusher; if he dies, Stonecruncher - I see gestalts definitely playing a role in the sequels

Vortex = Soundwave (smaller TF's attach and detach, audio shriek, accessing military databases...)

Brawl = Runamouk (More appropriate name/alt mode, and like with Bludgeon, little chance of true G1 character popping up in movies so a good redshirt)

Skorponok = Well, probably Skorponok. But instead of a city bot, he's now a minion of Soundwave

Soundwave = Rumble or Frenzy...it's 4'6" for crying out loud

I'm very pleased by this review, though this is the first time I've read anything from this reviewer, and he seems to admit that almost everything he reviews gets a good grade, though his explanation that he simply doesn't bother grading scripts he dislikes is a bit reassuring. But everything about his review indicated he had his Blot together; spelling and grammar were perfect from what I could tell, which is a rarety for internet movie nuts, he whet appetites and gave a good feel without blowing any major news or plotpoints, and despite his hard on for TF's and other 80's toys, he seemed fairly objective. I'm becoming less cautious about my optimism.

you know, i wouldn't mind these things if Don Murphy had the balls to admit "Yes, this sh*t is true. What are you going to do about it?" rather than denying the slightest thing that gets the fandom in a tizzy. all these more recent rumors have a 94% probablity of being true and Murphy is just covering his ass.
