Full Movie Script Review Online

Recommended Posts

Murphy posted this on his message board with this title for the thread: "Rumors Rumors Everywhere and Not a Drop to Drink."

you know, i wouldn't mind these things if Don Murphy had the balls to admit "Yes, this sh*t is true. What are you going to do about it?" rather than denying the slightest thing that gets the fandom in a tizzy. all these more recent rumors have a 94% probablity of being true and Murphy is just covering his ass.

I wouldn't exactly call a possible script being reviewed here a slight thing, though.

The review says his track record is imppecable - who is this guy and is his Track reccord really that good?

Where do you get that number Hornet?

there's just too much being leaked this late in the stage for all of it to be bullsh*t. IIRC, the movie has already started production so it's probably too late to change the basics now. also, Murphy seems to shoot down EVERYTHING as bullsh*t. you'd think that at least one leaked rumor would be correct.

Actually I have read a number of past articles, script reviews and leaks through latinoreview.com the past few years. his track record is very good, he has solid sources.

:thumb  i agree

Posted this on 2005, might as well share:

My guess at Michael Bay's Rosetta Stone:

Energon Cube = Creation Matrix

Devastator = Bludgeon (character isn't popular enough to make it in the movies, but the name is too bad ass not to include, and the name and alt mode fit)

Bonecrusher = If he lives, Bonecrusher; if he dies, Stonecruncher - I see gestalts definitely playing a role in the sequels

Vortex = Soundwave (smaller TF's attach and detach, audio shriek, accessing military databases...)

Brawl = Runamouk (More appropriate name/alt mode, and like with Bludgeon, little chance of true G1 character popping up in movies so a good redshirt)

Skorponok = Well, probably Skorponok. But instead of a city bot, he's now a minion of Soundwave

Soundwave = Rumble or Frenzy...it's 4'6" for crying out loud

I'm very pleased by this review, though this is the first time I've read anything from this reviewer, and he seems to admit that almost everything he reviews gets a good grade, though his explanation that he simply doesn't bother grading scripts he dislikes is a bit reassuring. But everything about his review indicated he had his Blot together; spelling and grammar were perfect from what I could tell, which is a rarety for internet movie nuts, he whet appetites and gave a good feel without blowing any major news or plotpoints, and despite his hard on for TF's and other 80's toys, he seemed fairly objective. I'm becoming less cautious about my optimism.

Why? He's not said a single one of the recent rumors is false.

Bay has.

Fair enough but also keep in mind - This article is written about a script from February right?

so even if it is 100% accurate - its also 3 months old (and they were not in production in Feb)

Hunter

Energon Cube

LAMEST. NAME. EVER

I'll be perfectly content with "Matrix Annex" if they can't use "Matrix".

Even though this is probably BS.

Energon Cube

LAMEST. NAME. EVER.

well, transformers practically worship energon as it is. energon is like the transformers' equivilent of Dune Spice and is certainly a lot more usful than the Matrix.
