That reminds me of another reason why I started to lose interest... HasTak making more and more WTF decisions with characters. A police Subaru as Red alert rather than Prowl... Prowl in an RSX body that seems made for Red alert... whatever happened to Trailbreaker... and then those half-assed repaints Ricochet and Rollbar, about which I can genuinely say were "half-assed". It just got too frustrating over time.

Prowl really has me wondering. Nevermore did an article about Alt/BT last minute changes. In the article, he shows a pic of Prowl that has a head mold that looks a lot like Sideswipe with horns drawn on at the last minute. Of course we know that Red alert was even Prowl's place holder name too.

The only thing I can guess is that Takara wanted only to use Repaints in the BTA line and they more than likely wanted to keep a major character like Prowl in the main BT line. With Sunstreaker being a 3rd use of a mold, I guess it didn't matter how major he was. ????

I think BTA Convoy blew that theory.

BTA is all the fault of the Japanese nerd market.  I read an article in the paper about how a lot of young Japanese men are content to be single nerds for the rest of their lives.  The man interviewed in the article even had a anime girl real doll.  He just has it sit on the couch and he talks to it.
