wait a minute... They say he's a hatch back huh, someone tell me if this would work.

 

What IF for his arms w/HANDS his head folds back/foreward his shoulders come up SPIN arond the center and go into the otheres socket, then the "pile-Drivers" fold in and his arms fold out of the hatch backsgiving him a completely different look between modes.? I know hard to see without visuals but wouldnt it work??

Then I saw this pic and well, the digi bash was soooooo damn good I thought it was an official pic conferming my thoights.

 

Anyhow I think this is how it would work. It wuld be perfect.

 

By the way, for humter roses question on the guns, rumble and frenzy would hold the guns in their hands on the G1 cartoon.

 

So it would make since that tere has to be hands on this figure.

 

To me this would mark as being the best altinator out thus far. So many robot related features.

 

I wonder if the gun could be in use in car mode some how....

Sorry but the way the hands are shown in this example look alot better and is more realistic to the design than than any other digibashes I've seen.

I don't look forward to the crappy repaint of this as Eject or Rewind instead of what we want. You KNOW it will happen.

 

Also, Alts tend to base themselves of 'toon designs instead of toy homages, in which case, this really should be Frenzy.

It's still not at all what I wanted Rumble to be (among other things, FIRRIB), but it's a thousand time better than the terrible X-Brawn copy we saw first.  On the other hand, Hound is in absolutely no danger of ever being displaced as best Alternator released.

Rumble will definitely get my purchase regardless.

 

Frankly though, I disagree with the whole FIRRIB thing.

I mean it is just a way us fans are more used to them,

Since the G1 show was lightyears away from being toy Accurate, I don't even care if Rumble isn't Gray/blue. The Rumble toy was Red/Black/Gold except it or buy em and call em Frenzy.

That chest panel looks like it opens to the top.

 

Another thing to take note of is the shoulder guns. If he has no hands, they're pretty much useless as they don't appear to slide down like forward facing shoulder cannons. (They appear to be clipped on)

I thikn you answered your own Question there - i mean does any one remember how the ORIGINAL Rumble "held" his guns???

I think everone is missing my point.... i wasnt questioning whether or not Rumble ever held a gun.

I was pointing out that Wikkid specifically mentioned the gun *clips* and then complained that the bot had no hands -

 

Now if everyone wants to pull out a G1 Tape to follow along withe the demonstration -

they essentiallly had no hands and the guns *clipped* on to the knobs at the ends of their arms.  In fact MOST G1 figures had weapons that cliped to the bots rather than sat in a *HAND*.

so anyway - even if he doesnt have real hands the guns probably clip to the arms/wrists somehow as well as to the back.

 

By the way - those photshops are Awesome!!!

He's got to have hands. I doubt they would give him those guns if he weren't meant to hold them.

I would think that he might have hands but you notice how our worse fears come true as far as Alts are concerned. There was a BlackStreaker Rumor out and then we got Dead End. We saw yellow Tracks protos. Trailbreaker became Swindle, The proto that looked like Overdrive became Windcharger, Wheeljack is a Mustang, Prowls legs aren't mistransformed, Skids isn't Ironhide, Rollbar and Rico have no remolded heads, Prime is the Dodge Ram, His legs dont extend that high, The crotch plate is the official transformation...........

 

I'm gonna say, "Rumble has not hands" is most likely true. I bet almost anything the guns are for G1 homage. You can't be Rumble with out  the back gun just like Tracks has to have the two shoulder missles.

Well I sure did missed the point.

 

I forgot that in the toy rumble the hands were too tiny to holes and so the guns cliped on the wrists. Now I remember. But in the toon, rumble clearly held the gun.

 

Now T.mans ''worst fears'' comments make sence. Tracks is a great example of this, in that the car didn't have wings......which is clearly a ''tracks'' sort of thing. ravage was just a tracks repaint w/ a cat head. no cat mode, no tail.

 

Actually we have to be pretty glad that we got pile drives in the first place.

 

Now a positive surprise was shockwave. He could have just been a cheap repaint with out the arm gun but we got surprised. Grimlock came with a sword. Wow.

 

I'm hopeing that we get surprused here and that arms do fold out of the hatch back some where. It fits with the character in the same way that shockwave got his gun and grim got his sword.

I also forgot to add the he looks really, really bulky to me. Like a Rumble on steroids!
