does anyone knows if the blue striped version of armada wheeljack exists i for one found a website long ago that said that this redeco was goin to be made availible but around the time that i waited for it it never came by....i just remembered recently that was one of the figure i really wanted...already have the regular version which is ok but i'd prefer the blue striped version...if anyone can help i would be greatly appreciated cause i tried so hard to find this version..

The running change of the yellow striped to the blue striped version was planned but never came through. I forget the reason why. You can still find Micron Legend Rampage though. Look here, this guy has one for sale.

I actually prefer the Micron Rampage, now that I have both. The blue looks better for some reason, although I'm not sure why the yellow is still there.

Yeah, the Japanese version looks a lot nicer, and also happens to be more showlike. It also has a better name -- Rampage is a much more suitable name for that character than "Wheeljack."

Wow, Armada was such a step backward from Beast Wars. Everytime I look at Armada, it's amazing to me how much of a disappointment they were.

 

Who was the designer(s) for those toys, and where are they now? I feel like I need to send them a pity card.

I thought armada was so much better than anything prior except RID in SOME ways and G1. I hated the beast era.

 

I thought the energon ones were the crap ones with all the translucent coloring..

 

ANYWAY, I love the rampage color scheme... I wish they would make a universe repaint like this... $10... heck, they'd make a lot of money off of this one I think.

 

I guess I'll be finding a wheeljack and repainting him, cause I can't fine one of these guys for less than $20+.

Everyone's got an opinion. I actually liked a lot of Armada. Some of it could have been better, but it was a really fun line overall. I still want that Universe Spacewarp.

I saw an awesome kitbash of another figure INTO Micron Rampage. It was sweet. Oh yeah. It was Energon Downshift. What an awesome idea.

Meh, show accurate'd-ness aside, I think the Hasbro one is better looking - the yellow paint ties in with his missile/sticks in a more cohesive manner - the blue and yellow on Rampage's sides looks akward.  I think Rampage would look a lot better if the yellow molded plastic was blue instead.
