One tihng I thought i'd mention. at Botcon, it was revealed that Hasbro first preposed the character as female. it was Takara that made the character male in their version.

I think this is interesting because in Japan, Primal and Megatron were the originals,

Actually they were. The japanese made several changes to Beast Wars. The show was exactly the same but a few characters were portrayed different, like Airrazor was made male. And Primal and Megs were made out to be the originals. Its kinda like in GF Nitro Convoy is a male, but C made Override a fem

 

 

TM2 Dinobot had none of Dinobot's spark in him, so he was only a "clone" in the sense that he had the original Dinobot's data tracks uploaded into him

 

 

He also had his DNA( and before someone leaps in, BWs characters had DNA)

I'm sure there's DNA in the living tissue that forms their beast modes.... but that's it

 

Anyway, Dinobot's body was incinerated at the end of "Code of Hero".... not much left to clone. The presence of the TM2 raptors in the episode prior to "Feral Scream" was meant to indicate that that's where Megatron got the DNA from.

I always thoguht Megatron just had some left over from the episode Double Dinobot or whatever it was called.

ya tahts just what i was gonna say..i TM2 Dinobot was the third time Megatron used the Raptor DNA..

theres no way that megs is g1 megs clone. Whoever says that he is terribly wrong. The maximals though seemed to keep up with the lineage with Optimus Primal(Altough if he tried to hold the matrix, it would be as large as he is). Primal is just another poser like BW Megs.

 

I know this is an embarrasing question but, BW Ravage is the original G1 Ravage rebuilt? I never quite understood why but more improtantly in the future timeline of BW cybertron that makes him the last surviving G1 character.

which is why i picutre Override as a raging feminazi.

and on the note of this topic.....i dont know much about BW as i never liked it so much....but didnt megs find the original body of megs and link with his spark or whatever and thats how he became the big transmetal dragon...that was such a cool toy,wich i wish i still had...im probly wrong about all this...but if im not that alone should be enough to show that they wernt the original megs....how could he find his body and spark if it was him...and also wasnt one of the messages on the disk from him too?...i know that the maximals found primes body with his head all blown to crap sitting in th chair and they had to link the sparks or whatever...or was it the matrix?....and i believe this is how he became optimal optimus

most of it.

 

Megatron had alreayd known of the location of G1 Megatron's body, as it was on the ark. he got the idea from seeing what happened to Optimal Optimus when he took Optimus Prime's spark into his body.

 

and it wasn't the matrix. after the episode aired, a misconception by the writers was discovered. they watched the scene of TF:TM where Prime passes on the matrix to Ultra Magnus, but didn't see any of the rest. they wereu nder the impression that was the G1 equivilent of a spark, so they wrote it as having the matrix with it. when they were informed of their mistake, they quickly retconned it by saying it was a spark holder, a decoy designed to look like the matrix to protect it. I don't recall where exactly the Matrix was supposed ot be at the time.

 

the reason Prime's head was heavily damaged was due to BW Megatron. he got onto the ark via basically blackmailing Black Arachnia, then blasted Prime in order to change time. he wanted the decepticons to win the Great War.

 

there were two golden discs as well.... one from The Vok, and one being the one Megatron took his idea from.
