If they were set on doing a serious show, a Cybertron Beast Wars would have been great. They could have shown and developed Cybertronian society, culture and politics and made a far more interesting show.

Although, one could argue that without the "technorganic" angle, there really was no reason for them to have beast modes on Cybertron.  I'm assuming that Hasbro still wanted beast modes, as they weren't too sure of how well a purely machine-based alt-mode series would sell.

They would probably still have their Transmetal beast modes if everyone had returned to Cybertron.  Knowing how Hasbro loves repaints, they might have been all for it.

So, it was doomed from the start.

Four years of Beast Wars was enough. The story was over.

The story on pre-historic Earth, yes, but not the larger war.  Right now, the new Beast Wars comic serves quite nicely as a sequel to the cartoon.

So, it was doomed from the start.

Perhaps you were fuzzy on that part, but there was no larger war. Hence "The Agenda" and all that stuff...

Okay, that doesn't mean something else couldn't have been done to continue Beast Wars.

....BM was much better than I remember it being.

It roxxerizes, and is better than any TF series currently out,  and that was my spot for RiD/BW for a while.

Paint drying on a wall is better than any TF series that's currently out.

Beast Machines is good on a purely technical level.  It's well made, with good animation and all of that stuff, but the story stinks.

So, it was doomed from the start.

It was; you just didn't like the continuation.

Yeah, so, you obviously love Beast Machines and there's nothing that I, or anyone who shares my opinion, can do to not seem totally wrong, dumb Blots.
