has megatron become a sith lord

Recommended Posts

i ask this because he has demonstrated the ability to channel powerful lightning from his hands at his opponents and from what the 8 part more then meets the eye series stated  about circuitsu it seems all to similer to the whole force lightning thing from star wars.

i think in a way megatron has become a sort of sith type individual, one that is quite possibly allied to the dark side. when it comes to him posessing the power of the dark god unicron himself.

th way he has a sort of cape on his back and shoulders, the way he gives off sort of a robed look through the arms and legs add to that affect.

now if they would just give him a dark red laser sword to work with it could complete the affect.

it is easy to compare transformers to star wars.  It has been compared since G1.

Anyone remember in the later episodes of Energon were Galvatron made several Star Wars references in a row? That was painful...

I think the lightning was just a cool way to show how strong Megatron was, because all of his weapons involve him using his force chip. I mean, without the lightning he would've been walking around doing nothing for a few episodes.

No need to look for any deep, significant links to Star Wars. Yes, Megatron's toy was designed with heavy Unicron cues, but his character has nothing to do with him.

The ability to channel lightning-style energy blasts is nothing new to Transformers. It is commonly practised in Decepticon martial arts, such as Circuit-Su. It's got nothing to do with the Force.

For more information, see my Cybertronian Martial Arts Compendium.

There still aren't any transformers who spring to mind with that power.

End communication.

and im pritty sure insecticons could do the whole lighning out of body parts trick aswell

That was only Shrapnel - and he was more of a lightning bug (sic)... he wasn't actually able to generate his own lightning blasts. But other than that, you're right. :)

As I mentioned before, certain Decepticon martial arts such as Circuit-Su and Metallikato allow their practitioners to produce electrical energy discharges.

That was only Shrapnel - and he was more of a lightning bug (sic)... he wasn't actually able to generate his own lightning blasts. But other than that, you're right. :)

I thought Shrapnel was a beetle... I don't recall lightning bugs having jaws the size of their own bodies.

It seems in the Transformers world if you have two horns, you can generate electricity *cough**cough* energonunicron*cough*
