Hasbro Primus Extra Unveiled.

"Make mine Hasbro".... if you like half assed attempts at maximized profits at lowest cost.

Maximized profits and lowest cost.... you mean a SUSTAINABLE franchise? Takara tanked on CR. Takara would not have released Micron Legend, Superlink, or Galaxy Force if not for Hasbro's pocket book.

Half assed? Like not releasing Armbullet, Blender, and Moledive as well as several other non-show toys?

All I am saying is that if I want to pre-order an import version, I should be able to and not have to defend my position on the matter. To each his own, right? As an example, I get only Alternators, no Binaltechs for me. Don't like the chippy metal, so I stay with the plastic. Does that make it wrong?

And like I said before - I see a lot of things that I like here on the boards. Stuff from HasbroHasbroHasbroHasbroHasbro - oops, I means Hasbro as well as Takara. From what I have seen with my own experience, deep corporate pockets or not in several circumstances I have been more pleased with my GF expenditures than the later released Hasbro counterparts.

And yes... maximizing profits by repainting every figure in the line, then selling it as a new figure? Sure sounds like a cheap way to double sell to me, but what do I know -  :wtf

But don't fret, as soon as I see Armbullet, Blender, and Moledive in our stores, I will be more than happy to pick them up.

:rofl  :lol  :mwahaha

it's funny, because it's true.

Extra incentive or not, Cybertron Primus is still 50 dollars less than Galaxyforce Primus. So I'm glad I didn't get GF Primus. The Unicron head is just a nice little bonus on an already awesome toy.

Jeebus you people are hard to please. I expected to come back reading this this morning seeing how everyone thought it was so cool. :roll

For how long have you been on this board?

Takara wil probably release the last of the GF toys such as Blender and Moledive.

Also Takara bring us stuff like THS Convoy and re-releases of stuff like Soundblast, Broadcast, Perceptor and frikking Star Convoy. Cutting prices by 90% for those toys! Half assed indeed.

My point is that one company being better then the other based on the lack of a severed head is half-assed thinking. Hasbro and Takara are both equal. You, as a consumer, can buy toys from both companies! Isn't that a nice bonus?

Takara probably will release Blender and Moledive? I hadn't heard that one.... and I question the validity

But actually I'm not trying to be die-hard Hasbro supporter with that post. I very much agree with the notion that comparing each company and trying to pick a better one is the half-assed thing.

We should certainly have our opinions and express them, but I don't think expressing them by calling Hasbro or Takara "half-assed" is the way to go about it. They're different, but one is not wholly inferior to the other.

Maybe it isn't that cool if fan opinion is so divided about it.

I think you should be absolutely free to pre-order Primus... but that is NOT all that you're saying. You're calling Hasbro "half assed", and while I think we absolutely should have our own opinions, I think that's just cheap insults.... as well as I think some what biased and not objective in that opinion. Hasbro does some good things. Takara does some good things. and the both also do some bad things.

Again "maximizing profits" with repaints.... or is that actually making a profit, insuring the Transformers franchise will continue, unlike Takara who seem to have some trouble with that. Takara killed new mainline TFs in Japan with CR and only revived it thanks to Hasbro's pocket book and "maximized profits". Plus the line is aimed at kids Hasbro doesn't expect everyone to buy every toy. They're not really trying to sell double to you.

"Cheap" or "profitable, sustainable franchise"? Glass half full or half empty?

Opinions are good, but IMO better when considering other sides of the story.

All this talk about car robots killing tfs in japan? where they that unpopular in japan? I mean I thought they were "relativly" popular here...I mean I like RID LOL :-D Can some one enlighten me about CR?

I don't think it's unfair to criticize Hasbro's products if paint apps are important to you. Hasbro usually does skimp on them, everyone knows that. Sure there are reasons for it (probably legitimate -- for example, Hasbro serves a much larger market and has way higher shipping costs than Takara), but that doesn't change the fact that the Takara product still looks better (again, to someone for whom paint apps are important).

Just let people have their opinions. Disagree with their opinions if you want, but don't tell them they can't have them.
