TF infinite Crisis

Beast Machines does NOT directly contradict BWII or BW Neo... if you're going to claim that it does, then back your statements up with some bloody evidence.

Despite what a lot of Bob Skir hating wankers were saying 6 years ago, Beast Machines does not contradict continuity - G1, BW or otherwise. Having said that, there are several plot and continuity holes in Beast Machines... parts of BM which, although it doesn't directly contradict canon, needs to be further explained. Some of this has been addressed in BotCon's BM EU though.

I loved BM because of how much it referred back to G1.

The only plot hole that comes to mind is in the first few eps when Primal says that the Oracle predicted the coming of the first TF's to Cybertron. That doesn't directly contradict G1, since in "Key to Vector Sigma", Vector Sigma/the Oracle makes the "oooooh, ahhhhh" statement "Before Cybertron was, I was." Primal's statement may be another way of looking at the creation of the first TF's, not just saying they were built on Cybertron.

Well the Oracle is arguably the largest plot hole in BM continuity and it's what would make fitting Japanese BW continuity with Canadian BW/BM continuity difficult - although that is not to say that they are contradictory.

In Beast Wars Neo, Vector Sigma played a very important role as Big Convoy's spiritual advisor. Vector Sigma referred to herself as the Transformers' god, which coincides with Vector Sigma's claim in G1 as being the Super Computer which created Transformer life. Vector Sigma was portrayed as being rather like Primus in nature, and indeed was Unicron's primary target when he assaulted Cybertron and possessed her core in order to transform Cybertron into his new body - also demonstrating a similar grudge which the comic book Unicron had towards Primus as his arch enemy.

But by time Beast Machines began, Vector Sigma had become the Oracle - something which had never been mentioned in BW Neo or G1 for that matter, hence why it was such a glaring plot hole for BM in terms of how it relates with the rest of TF canon. I had my own theory for how it would all fit in, but an official explanation has since been given via the BotCon Expanded Universe. So now that the true nature and origin of the Oracle has been explained, Beast Machines can better slot itself in with the rest of mainstream (G1 and BW) Transformers lore.

P.S.: There is also evidence from the Marvel Comics which helps support the notion that life existed on Cybertron before Primus.

According to Simon Furman, there is only one Unicron within all the multi-verses. He can travel between them mind you.

...that's impossible. G1 Marvel - in a story written by Furman - clearly established that there were multiple Unicrons.

When Unicron retrieved Galvatron from the alternate universe in US#68-69, Galvatron demanded that Unicron explain why he had summoned him when he had already finished his duty to Unicron and was given dominion over Earth as reward for his servitude. Unicron explained that Galvatron had served an alternate Unicron and thus he was under no obligation to maintain the agreement between Galvatron and his universe's Unicron. I recall Unicron speaking of the other Unicron as if he were a separate alternate entity... :/

Wait, so you'd trust the words of a chaos god? :P

Actually, Galvatron was pulled from one of the many alternate futures Furman created.

It wasn't a different Unicron, rather, as Unicron says himself, it was a Unicron he may or may not become.

Wait wha? :wtf

:pfx Since that technically hadn't happened yet he didn't have to hold to the word he had not yet said.

Which effectively makes it a "different" Unicron. We have Unicron "A", who comes from a universe where Unicron has successfully destroyed Cybertron and defeated Primus, giving Earth to Galvatron as reward and releasing him of his service. Then we have Unicron "B", who comes from the mainstream Marvel universe, where none of that had happened - as Unicron put it, a universe where the events of "Universe A" may or may not come to pass. In either case, it's an alternate Unicron, which is kinda different... same guy.... same difference... Aargh!! stupid time paradoxen!!

I don't see how BW:The Gathering is anything like a multiverse story -- the whole story is strictly within the BW universe and continuity.

Remember that BWII and BW Neo were expansions of the Canadian BW cartoon - not alternate universes as some ignorant fans seem to think.

Although I do like how the BW comic is acknowledging the Japanese BW universe expansion. I was afraid that the comic would risk accidentally contradicting BW EU if they had chosen to ignore it; which kinda happened with Beast Machines...

The fact that BM contradicts them makes them an alternate continuity.

Absolutely!  I mean, Cybetron ended up being covered in grass at the end of BM, as far as I know we never saw a grass covered Cybertron in BWII or BW Neo.

Issues 14-17 of the TF:Armada comic had a story line in which Unicron sent heralds to each dimension before he came to devour it.

He used some G1-ers such as Galvatron, and Bludgeon to wipe out the bots of the Armadaverse.

The story line was called "World's Collide."
