Come on, Hasbro isn't going to release Wheeljack in his G1 colors.  Hasbro doesn't give two craps about the "BT fanfic story."

 

Although, I can see Soundwave as a straight Grimlock repaint.  The heads are close as both sport the visor and facemask look.  If he's a later release than Mirage then the problem of two blue Fords is solved.

I'd take the lack of name with a grain of salt, I don't think the name in parentheses is part of the "official" listing, but something that the original poster at cosmicrust added later to better differentiate what was what (as all the rest already have established SKUs or could be guessed from what was supposed to be coming out - Mirage, Meister and Rumble).

This is true.  The items in the parentheses were added by me.  Occassionally, when you view the item in the computer on it's own (rather than as a large list of items) there may be some more to the description (or sometimes even a different description all together).  But I'd be willing to bet all we'd see there woudl be the 'G' to go with the 'MUSTAN'.  Though I'll take a look tomorrow.

Looked at the full description, it's just TRA ALT FORD MUSTANG with the 'G' now being visible.  No character name (as is the case with most of them).

:tfhuh Laserbeak.  Ummm...aside from the Rumble mold that will be getting the treatment, I can't see the point since they required Soundwave to get most places.  Battle Ravage is the exception because that's supposed to be based on BW Ravage

the point is that the mold would look cool with a bird head.  and as for the "he's a cassette" thing, that didn't stop Ravage or Rumble from being made. And you can say it's becuase Ravage was in BW, but that story was written post design. 

 

I think the LACK of ANY information or rumors about a "new" Mustang suggests that it is a re release of WJ or Grim. I mean how many MONTHS of pre hype did we get before Ricochet and Rollbar? I seriously doubt that a new version of the mustang would "slip" out with out ANYONE, especially us Nosey transfans at least getting a TINY hint about it. That is just my opinion.

True, but Rico and rollbar were kept under wraps better than most previous alts.  the first pictures we saw were official, and I don't think any proto ever made Ebay.  Nor did any pics of a painted prime or mirage leak.  or a mirage proto.  I think Hasbro is stepping up security a bit.

 

Lazerbeak!?!!?!??!?!? Are you nuts!?!?!?!?! If they do make a Lazerbeak it`ll have to come with Soundwave. If they make a Soundwave then they`ll have to give him one of his partners to make him somewhat G1ish. So since Ravage aka BW commander Ravage reborn into a Corvette, and we know we`re getting Rumble and of course we can guess that they`ll repaint him into Frenzy. So that only leaves Lazerbeak, Buzzsaw, and Ratbat. I`m guessing Soundwave will be one of the first Decepticon new molds with an engine or something that can be molded two different ways so they can repaint the carbody and bot parts. While changing out that one part which transforms into Lazerbeak with a gun variation. O

The first Decepticon to get an original mold is Rumble.  and why should lazerbeak come with soundwave?  You can say it's G1 Redux, but I don't think that's the case anymore.  Swerve, Rollbar, Ricochet, Decepticharge, and Rumble all break the G1 mold. There is no Hasbro story to say that these are G1 characters.  Sure they're homages, but so is Energon.  No one claimed it to be G1 Redux. 

 

Now that Takara seems to be pulling out, I expect the Alts to move slowly away from the homages.
