Walmart Alternator Listings - Mustang??

Recommended Posts

Well they put Shockwave in the bubble package and he was already warming shelfs in Walmarts,Target & TRU in my area in the old package.

Alt Shockblast was a European re-release like Alt Swindle in the bubble packaging.

I think the LACK of ANY information or rumors about a "new" Mustang suggests that it is a re release of WJ or Grim. I mean how many MONTHS of pre hype did we get before Ricochet and Rollbar? I seriously doubt that a new version of the mustang would "slip" out with out ANYONE, especially us Nosey transfans at least getting a TINY hint about it. That is just my opinion. Just like on toysrus.com they have an acura rsx 2007 and a scion 2007 on their site that turned out to be just prowl and skids in the bubble. I ordered the scion just to see and yup it was skids...i think this is just something similar to that with one of the mustang charcters in the new package.

all you speculators...its probably just a rerelease of grimlock or wheeljack...if there was going to be a new mustang release dont you think we would have heard something more about it?!?!? I do.

The lack of a name *suggests*  (Not proof however)  that it's a new character....  even if the toy isn't remolded and perhaps that they've not even decided a name yet.

What could they call it if it was a Decepticon tho??  Ford may not like the name Runamuck, or Wildrider and Breakdown or even Brakedown are a little too close to the mark when you consider the reported failures on the GT.

I suspect the name is going to be left of field. ....

And then a repaint of MP Prime as Motormaster and then they have special connector parts and make Alt/MP Menasor.

...and that would be followed by a 1/24 scale combining Superion???

BTW the names were put in by the person who made the original post...not hasbro or walmart...so the names really do mean nothing.

I'd take the lack of name with a grain of salt, I don't think the name in parentheses is part of the "official" listing, but something that the original poster at cosmicrust added later to better differentiate what was what (as all the rest already have established SKUs or could be guessed from what was supposed to be coming out - Mirage, Meister and Rumble).

This is true.  The items in the parentheses were added by me.  Occassionally, when you view the item in the computer on it's own (rather than as a large list of items) there may be some more to the description (or sometimes even a different description all together).  But I'd be willing to bet all we'd see there woudl be the 'G' to go with the 'MUSTAN'.  Though I'll take a look tomorrow.

If its a decepticon recolor of Grimlock. How about Sixshot?

I think that could look cool.

That is true.  But look at Hasbro's Alternator page (click on individual pages) and you will see that the numbers match up with the listings (except those not yet on the page).

Randy

why another silver mustang?

if there is a god then he would not allow Megatron to be the THIRD repaint of the weakest mold in the line.

The Weakest Mold!? *Imediately thinks of my Subarus that dont like their vehicle molds to hinge together*

Well if Grim is destined to be another Decepticon I hope he's at least retooled and not a straight repaint like Rico/Rollbar.

My vote though goes to Soundwave. With Ravage aleady done, and Rumble up and coming how cold it not be.

Also Miester/Shockwave would probably be Sixshot if they ever did it. A yello Mazda RX, that wouldn't even be half bad. :thumb

tron tron torn tron tron...

Not surprised to hear a third Mustang is likely underway. Okay, I had actually suspected that we'd first see a third Mazda (the first four molds have already seen three versions and the Mazda is the mold next in line), but I guess the re-release of Meister means the third Mazda will wait a while.

So far only one of the four third versions has been a retool, the others straight repaint. Most likely this is going to be a straight repaint. Wheeljack's head is rather specific. Only Slicer and Axer come close. Grimlock's head is a bit more generic, but Soundwave seems closest. However, Soundwave would mean there would be two blue Ford ALts at approx the same time...seems doubtful.

Will simply have to wait and see (but I'm also hoping for a Bludgeon, because I feel he would be great for that mold.
