When I'm 50, the 40th Anniversary Edition...

Recommended Posts

I want an MP Megatron damnit.  Where's my MP Megs.

I hope that in the future, they toy laws will be less stupid than they are now.  Then again, thinking realistically, people are just too stupid to stop and think about what they're doing before they're doing it.

In the year 2010, the toy laws will be so bad that toy evolution in brands like Power Rangers, Transformers, Ninja Turtles etc will be going backwards.  De-evolution.  Eek.  We'll be back to teh g1 brickiness.  *runs screaming and pulling out hair and lands in the snow outside and continues to run for 5 miles*

...Heff...heff.  Okay...give...me...a...moment.

Okay.

All I know is because of the stupid laws, TF Classic line Megs will have an orange cap on him, and why he won't be a gun in the movie, and why 20th Prime didn't have longer smokestacks, and other stuff.

I think it's just plain silly (and obviously greedy) of Hasbro to try to market G1 Transformers at kids these days.

They should just follow Takara's example and market G1 TFs at "Ages 15 and Up" and screw child safety laws. That's why Takara's been able to get away with more accurate reissues, not to mention 3 reissues of Megatron (including reissue Goodbye Megatron as eHobby's Megaplex).

4 Re-issues:

Bookbox Megs

Standard Megs

"Megaplex" Megs

Black Megs

(5 including "Goodbye Megatron" set? Any more?)

they can still make him into a tank right? If they can make a tank for gi joe, why the hell not megs?

20 Years from now it'll be twice the size of 20th Prime, and be fully self-motivated, with a gimick $10 bit of circuitry in it that is the equivalent of a quad-opteron server system today in computational power.

As such it'll be able to hold a conversation with you on a level somewhere below that of your average English teacher, but well above that of say, game show host or school guidance counselor.

It'll run on a tiny cold fusion cell that lasts for about 300 years.

Fanboys will discover the dangers of kitbashing them into 'Nemesis 40th Anniversary Prime' because they then go on killing sprees and need th intervention of small arms fire or a well aimed 20lb sledge hammer to stop them.

There will also be the 40th Ultra Magnus, the 40th Anniversay Bumblebee with a whiney/not whiney toggle switch, and the wildly unpopular 40th Ravage that includes real mass-shifting and unfortunately also craps on your sofa and tends to eat housepets.

Saw it about a week or so ago but I still like it. Kind of has a War With In Optimus Prime look doesn`t it? Maybe it could be the 10th Anniversary of War With In Optimus Prime. :tflaugh
