It can but it wont lock into place.

The mold is starting to look a little (not a lot) better now we see some better poses and photographs! Thanks for the gallery!

 

I'm sure that front plate must go somewhere to hide the screws or rotate to show the grill. Maybe that'll be fixed on the release version (is this still a testshot?).

 

I still wish he was:

 

a) a little taller in bot mode (can we see some comparison shots with other Alts?)

b) Trailbreaker

 

I still won't buy him as Prime but my hate for him is dwindling a little.

wasted opportunity imo. i just dont know what ill do with him when i get him... he cant stand among the alts cuz mp is already there. what to do what to do....

i love this toy but i hope that when it is enevitably repainted into Ultra Magnus, Hasbro has enough common sense to give it a new head(preferably one that is a homage to the G1 supermode) like they do with most Alternators repaints. however, Alternators Stepper, Rollbar, and Sunstreaker are striking a cord of doubt :redface
