It's been reported since Botcon that they were beast modes so DING DING DING .... NO they are not pre-beast war forms... just a re-interpretation of the original BW forms... as has been said SINCE SEPTEMBER

 

Yes, Megatron's purple, a pale purple, but jeez, it's a scan, not a perfect picture.

No they don't.  In ep.1, the silhouetted Megs and Primal look like bare frames, pretty much their original bodies with all the beast mode skin and armor peeled off.
