Of all the TF gimmicks, I think the combiners have to be my favorite... There's just something undeniably cool about bots merging mind and body to create a larger, more powerful warrior. So my question to you is: Who's your favorite combiner from any series and why? Was it a particularly cool characterization in its respective cartoon, a cool/unique combination scheme, or just an overall kickbutt appearance?

For me, I guess I'd have to go with RID Omega Prime. Two bots that were awesome in their own right combined to form an incredible looking, well articulated war machine. That and the fact he's the TF that got me back into collecting. :tflaugh

A close second goes to DX Micromaster Landcross for his unique combination scheme, the ability of his individual components to "powerlink" and his overall asthetic (though he is a bit lanky).

I've always had a soft spot for the Armada Prime/Jetfire/Overload gestalt as well, even though he is a brick.

Anyway... Let me know what you guys think.

I remember back in the day there was this Decepticon one with a lion and a rhino and a hawk and stuff. I'm not talking Beast Wars, but way before that. Near the middle/end of G1. It was orange and yellow and red and black from memory. I never had it, or saw it in real life, but man it looked sooooooooooooo cool. The parts came seperately, and they were kinda the Decepticon answer to Dinobots, similar size.

I believe thats the Predacons you're talking about and they form Predaking

Hmmm, now that's a toughy. I had both Magnaboss and Tripredacus, they both rocked and I'd like to see Universe reissues, please...

Then there's Omega Prime, who's obviously infinitely cool, but is only real Optimus Prime with different armour. Of course, Magna Jet Prime from Armada is just Optimus Prime with a new pair of pants and a huge frickin' gun, but I still like him. And there's Rail Racer, from RID.... one of the most interesting combiners I've ever come across. We also have, unfortunately, Armada Megatron and Tidal Wave - they really aren't much of a combiner at all. And there's the whole of the Autobot deluxes from Energon, but do they really count, given their utter versatility?

On the whole, I'm gonna go with Powerlinx Magna Jet Prime. Uniform colour scheme, great individual bots, incredible weaponry. Oh, and he's big. :tflaugh

Favorite Comibiners

G1: Technobots.

BWN: King Posidon

RID: Omega Prime

Armada: Perceptor

Energon: Powerlinked Inferno with Rodimus Legs.

G1: Predacons/Seacons

BW: Magnaboss

BWNeo: Magmatron

RiD: Railracer

I may be in the minority on this but I think the Armada Optimus/Overload/Jetfire Combination rocks.
