I Love Beast Wars!!! YEAH!!!

 

I am very excited about the news, but dammit, I finally got all the BW figures and now I am obligated to get these too (which are essentially repaints of the figures, yes I know, except for OP and Megs).

 

I think the dvd and Transmutate idea is brilliant. It is something that will get people like me to buy the anniversary editions.

 

As for the DVDs...why does it have to be an episode? I would be happy with just a disk of Waspinator gettting Pwned

Though what they should do if they are just using an ep to spotlight a character is have a poll on the Hasbro website for what ep to use.

I would buy this as a stand-alone item in an instant. This would be well worth buying and would be hilarious!!!

 

My only beef w/ what people are saying on this and other threads is that the figures need to be more show accurate. That is one of my favorite things about BW, how the animators simply scanned the kickass toys and put them into the cartoon. The figures already are show accurate. BW started a trend that I absolutely love, the figures and the characters look the same. That alone increases the playability and collectibility of the line. I just wish people would give credit where credit is due. Now having said that, there are just a few small things that could be improved for accuracy, ie Megs tail/hand and some of the paint apps and I am very happy that that is something that will be fixed in the anniversary figs. The only other improvement that I see is the addition of details such as the fur and whatnot, stuff that is awesome, but not really necessary.

 

Either way, I am very excited with both the way these figures are turning out and the way in which Hasbro is marketing them. Cannot wait to see the new OP an Megs!!!

the poll idea would be neat, but I'd bet that most of the dvd choices are already made.

k, just got done reading the tfw2005.com panel. Primal and Megs are supposed to be deluxe sized(i.e. Cyertron Hotshot size). I wonder how this is going to work.... Esspecially if they are remolds with cyber keys..... not sure I like that idea much.... really hope thats wrong.

Yeah sorry, Obviuously they would have to be new molds, esspeccially if they are only the size of Cybertron Hot Shot tho. But I was tired, and up for a long time before I got the chance to see this, so I wasnt thinking vewry clearly. Thanks for the  correction. :thumb

For Primal, it'll probably activate his primejets.  For Megatron, it'll fire some dinky missile from the t-rex head in robot mode.  That's my bet.  As for the ever cursed Primal mouth, I bet that they'll make him with a mouth like in the show.

i just hope the new primal and megatron have the same amount of articulation as the original mold

How much more show accurate do you want him?

 

Every show character is based on the toy product, but some times the shows got to edit things. Like Primal and Megatron, they were going to be a bat and alligator. Due to early CGI they couldnt.

 

As an Beast Wars fan having an toy show accurate or not dosent bother me. There's just some things you cant do, and people really need to learn to deal with it.

i just hope the new primal and megatron have the same amount of articulation as the original mold

buy the metals one. looks exactly the way its supposed to and theyre on ebay pretty oftern. not usually by itslef but in a 2 pack with silverbolt. not uber expensive either.

i may have to look more carefully on ebay then.
