I was searching through this thread to see if someone said that before I made that exact same point.  Sure, it's lame ... and sure, I'd love to have a cover over the bed, but the thing has a freakin' 8.3 litre Viper V-10 in it, does 0-60 in under 5 seconds and runs the 1/4 in under 12.  If you kick it out of bed, I certainly have an open door.

Not to stray too far off-topic here but it's not quite that fast. Low to mid 13's stock with a 0-60 in the mid 5's. Still a very quick truck and that spoiler actually does suit a purpose, gives an extra  10mph in top-speed... not that anyone would want to do over 150mph in a pickup truck.

 

As far as Alt. Prime goes. I really dont like this mold as Prime, although it does kind of suit him. I'll go back and forth between getting him and not, mostly because I consider MP Prime to be the "Alt." Prime but I really like the SRT10 Ram and may not be able to hold out for the inevitable re-paint.

 

If I do succumb to buying SRT10 Prime, I'll probably make a few changes and make him into Ironhide as others have mentioned. Still hoping we get a Black SRT10 or Silver with black stripes re-paint/mold as Motormaster.

I personally think he looks much nicer here. I'm still really hoping that TakaraTomy will release a BT-Ginrai eventually.

I don't mind a Ginrai. I think it works well for Ginrai. It looks kind of lame for an Optimus.

Its okay but they could have done better. I'll get it just to kitbash it and keep masterpiece prime as the leader.

Alt Prime's topic died quicker than those other generabot Alts. Guess we need new pics.

Well i stand corrected.  I don't go about memorizing tests and the one article I quickly searched gave me 4.9 and 11.9.  I see Motortrend's numbers are more in line with what you said.

While I do like Alternator Optimus Prime, I do feel compelled to coin a new phrase that can serve those who hate the toy.
