SWTF Released

I saw Vader again at TRU tonight, along with Obi-Wan and Grievous. I had no problem not getting Grievous, since that alt mode is..... well it's a giant metal donut with legs. Obi-Wan looked okay, but eh... Vader looked less impressive to me this time. So I ended up just getting the Titanium series Death Star. :P

yeah - Greivous TF / Altmode is one big WTF

But I think he has one of the best bot mode, other figures can't do this!

You are right....

hmmm...

no.

cant do it - sorry.

I just dont feel anything for his raspy lameass and a donut with legs is hardly impressive.

not cool like TIE-FIGHTER!!!

Greivous could be a good Nightbird kitbash.

Plus those donut legs are (unless I'm mistaken) his robot arms/legs. Meh'D

..........I was impressed with how nice the Starfighter alt-mode was. Aside from being slightly compressed in the x-axis, I'd go as far to say that it's about 80% of an Alternator level of quality in the alt-mode - very nice reproduction of the Jedi fighter with very little robot stuff visible (pretty much just the knee joint)...........

this is the reason that the starfighter one is the only one of these I care to ever get. while the vader and greivous are what I call ''lay down'' figures, I wanted one that was competely like altinator quality and hid all of it robot parts and included every feature the original SW toy had and from the earlier pics I saw of this thing obi-wan was just that. ya it's got it's kibble but for me my toys are display any ways and I like the Idea of having a smaller version of my favorite SW vehical that still had all the cool featuers of the full size one I have and love.

The robot, really, is just the icing on the cake.

To design a repleca that is smaller than it's orginal toy (60% - 50%), and still have all of the cool features (landing gear, opening cockpit, the opening winglets and firing missiles) a mini pilot and then have it transform into a *workable* robot that is fully articulated. That to me a is a major engineering and design achievment. And one that has not been fully relized in the altmodes of the "please don't turn me over or you'll see my robot parts" tie fighter/vader and wheelbike/bike.

That's, why I believe that the starfighter/obi-wan is the best of the lot.

grudgingly agree with you there...

i want to point out that the Transformation of his abdomen is kind of tricky - and my sticks and gets jammed a lot.  so if done wrong he will DEFINITELY look proky/beerbellied

But when TF'd correctly - hes pretty porportionate.  despite his skinny arms and massive back kibble.

What i dont understand is why the backkibble/wings wasnt incorporated into some fin type things on his legs and arms.  if all that Wacky stuff was distributed into the three areas of his back/arms/legs - then it would not be so massive back there...
