. . . . I'm MAD! *starts hitting people*

It seems that people that can't afford a nice expensive toy are taking their frustrations out on the seller.

FAQ is out of date.

READ the transformerland.com sites posting.

It clearly says what is what.

GGRRRRRR RRRUFFF RUFFFF...

That does not change the fact that it was offered. Also a partner (unless out of date too): http://www.a-rabid-squirrel.com/PARTNER.htm

Well I'll come right out and say it. It's not so much the product. It's the attitude. I've been pretty indifferent towards the project but it's Hal's cheeky attitude that gets me. If I'm paying good money I want total forthright transparency.

Like if you're pimping your work for the umpteenth time on all the message boards. You could say this: "This reviewer was a reseller of our product. Here are their impressions on it."

The other thing that has me wary is the JD Reproductions connection. Hal illustrates perfectly the problem with JDP. http://www.a-rabid-squirrel.com/SHIP.htm (scroll down)

It was advertised as cold cast on JD's site. Not a bunch of Majorette toys.

TFormers: Did Studio Epsilon have any role in making this toy?

Hal: Yes and no. As you know they are no longer in business and during the beginning phases of development we did talk with them about production of an Arcee. Figure. At that time we were working through a go-between, Xian of JD productions.

The same fella who sculpted this http://www.robot-japan.com/Gallery/JD-Prod...m-prototype.jpg ?

Produced overseas. Singapore maybe? A little harder to go after folks that are outside US law.

I do agree with the review. It's a nice piece of artwork that is to be handled carefully, requires some skills to pretty up, and needs a neutral face.

I just don't like seeing people screwed over when things go sour. I've had it almost happen to me a few times. Trust the credit card. It will save your butt.

I can afford Arcee. I like it. But don't like it enough to break open the wallet. I want you all to get your toys and enjoy the heck outta them. Just be careful if it all goes boobs up over legal wrangling. It's not like every TF business venture is smooth sailing. 3H, Dreamwave.

Hal. I wish you the best of luck. Just work on putting out a better public image. Take the criticism and learn from it. That's all. Besides, you seem to get much less flack on TFans. :)

Caveat sumthin or other...

WRX, Its all good.

Thanks for your input.

Oh yea, Cheeky is my middle name.

Smile.

Well that was... expected. :)

Arcee looks good with a fair bit of thought put ito it but $500 just isn't something I can deal with right now.

I have in the past supported various TF indevours and have actually considered ordering certain items like alt add ons, and such but I've been hearing way o many horror storys reguarding cheepness, and breaking parts. JD Reproductions in particular. I can't get any pics up and running but I'm assuming everyone is refering to the Devastator statue. If not can somebody please clue me in.

Reguarding future online purchases from independants I can't wait to see what Nato turns up with.  :thumb

Hi Hal,

If you don't mind my asking, what are the factors that drives up the price on this figure? Granted, it's a great toy, it's out of a lot of people's price range.

The fact they made it, and are trying to sell it...  And that their not being jp productions like.

Besides that no clue... <<

I don't have enough cash too buy one anyway, Hasbro has been releasing cybertron figs in swarms as of late, and.... My wallet is empty...
