Cybertron Scourge

You seem to be going a little overboard with this, A3. Surely he's a still a good figure? Does the color difference REALLY mean that much to you?

I prefer the darker yellow but cost is an issue for me so I got Scourge instead. Also the darker yellow may make it harder for the light to shine through in the dragon head.

I prefer the brighter yellow, as it makes him look more firey, instead of...dirty looking.

And the yellow plastic debate was stupid from the getgo.  Especially since Bumblebee and Sunstreaker are fan-favourites.  If all we got were the red and blue Primes, silver Megatrons, and black/military coloured troops that everybody apparently clamors for, I'm afraid I'd have to hurt people.

Huh, I'm surprised because from pictures I have seen they don’t look all that different, however having not actually played with the GF version I cant comment on the plastic and so forth.  Either way I got my Cybertron Scourge when TRU had their sale up here a wile back so I'm happy, $24.99 Canadian for him is sure a lot better then paying $50+ so its all good :D

am i the only 1 who thinks that scourge would make for a good technoganic megatron figure because with a pair of gigatron wings with the central backpack sliced in half and built on inplace of the extra dragon heads, a decent paint job and a bit of remolding to the head  chest, shoulders  and dragon head this figure could pass for bm megatron gone technoganic.

throw in some better posibility through the dragon neck, shoulders, tail and hips with a killer paint job and this guy could rock as bm megatron gone technoganic. if someone wants to explore the WHAT IF scenario.

it might be possible to take the arms and sides of tm megatrons chest and just mold the chest sides into place to replace the shoulder sockets through their fold tm megatrons arms in half at the elbow and rotate them up at the shoulder joint and just bash them into the main figures shoulders through their so that the arms still rotate out to the side when you transform the figure. in robot mode this would improve the shoulders posibility

maybe ball and socket joints for the neck and tail.

With all this work needed you might as well make a new toy with a similar transformation scheme ala E. Starscream/G2 Smokescreen.

You're welcome. :)

Sometimes I wonder why do these companies feel the need for there product to be different. Wouldn't it be cheaper to just make everything in the same factory then just package it in a different box? There also wouldn't so be much tension on the fan consumers (I know the regular customers like children won't care) to get the better version or feel that our product is inferior when we cannot afford to get the better version (in some cases). Are these chages unavoidable or do the companies just want to differentiate their products from each other? If anyone knows please do tell me.

Hasbro's being cheap in most cases. Alt Skids and Alt Prowl are 2 examples of them not being cheap. But then they fumble the ball with Sunstreaker IMO.

I keep wondering that myself  :tfhuh  I guess T-man is right.  It's probably hasbro being a cheap-ass.  I just picked up Energon Galvatron and Superlink Galvatron General, and maybe it's placebo affect, but I feel like the plastic on the Superlink Galvy G just feels 'better'.  I tend to feel that way about most of my Japanese bots.

I only have Cybertron Scourge, and I like him, yellow differences aside.  He's not super posable, but he's a good, stout toy.  :thumb
