Was just thinking of Energon Primes Trailer

Recommended Posts

I saw on Remy's page that Amon did a bash with the Energon prime that would have made it better and that was use the rear section that folds up into his back and secured the piece in halves to the back of his existing legs.

The trailer could easily have unfolded, that would have been cool.

i got one cheap just to combine with wing saber.

Energon Prime was an interesting concept with terrible execution.

Energon Prime is pretty much my least favorute Prime right now. I forgivingly got over the misproportions, drones, and mishapen brick of a trailer but what I can't get over is how cheap and flimsy he is. Especially in the legs. No tighteness whatsoever in the joints makind a decent pose as supermode Prime or Wingsaber Prime near impossible without him either tipping forward or backwards. Reguarding the design of the legs I chalk it all up to laziness. How hard or expensive would it have been to scrap the entire back and just have a widenened sleave conected together in bot mode, and raised past the knee for supermode. The legs would have to be slightly longer but at least the legs would be proportionate in bot mode.

As for the trailer, I really like the innovation in the design but aside from tipping forward, having a cheap helicopter pad, and radar dish Hasbro really didn't focus too hard on what to do with this. I would've taken a decent base mode over super mode anyday. Thus far the most creativity, and innovation I've see in any base mode would have to be Machine Wars Prime/Thundeclash. Easily exceeds everything I've seen from Rid onward. That is a fun toy, Energon Prime is not.

What we want and what we get are two different things.

I'd love to see someone build an Energon Prime of their own and post it in the Kitbash forum. I haven't seen that yet.

also bear in mind that mold was released in 1991

And that trailer only becomes a base but it is a really good base indeed.

Cybetron Prime's aft section does nothing but combine with the front but he at least does not have a useless trailer.  :tftongue

I've found out something interesting about Energon Optimus Prime's trailer:

If you drop it off from a 8th floor balcony, it only breaks into 3 pieces, but you can put it back together (with some damage, given).

But if you drop it off from the 16th floor, it breaks into a lot of pieces.

I know this because I went over to my friend's place and used his Energon Optimus Prime's trailer for that experiment.

They were thinking: "those retards will buy anything with the name Optimus Prime slapped on it."

*kills Satanstorm*

Ya gotta ruin everything, dontcha?

hes right y'know

I agree though. The trailer was pretty much useless. The sad thing is, it didn't even look that good when being pulled.
