Drat, drat and even a triple drat! 

 

That was my response tonight Well not that but something that needs to be censored.

 

What happened. Well I had purchased several Transformers from Digital toys (Landquarte,Roadbuster Wild, Stampy vs Sling and BW 2 Longrack.) I liked all of them but loved Longrack as the giraffe mode is soo cool.

 

Well, you know how it is with a new Transformer. You cannot stop admiring it and you keep "playing" it with it and so on. I was doing the same thing when all of a sudden both of the horns on his head broke off.  :tfsad

 

And I was being real gentle with Longrack as well. I got Transformers everwhere so at times one fall down but so far they all came out fine. Not sure if I accidentally toppled Longrack down but if he fell and landed on his head the horns should have broken off then.

 

But they did not, they broke while I was putting him down. I was in shock seeing my poor Longrack without horns. I managed to glue them back on but it just is not the same. (Plus I got glue on my hands which quite hate.) It is just so annoying that something you paid good money for ($20 in case anyone was wondering) and is supposed to last awhile would break so soon.

 

Part of me knows it is inevitable and all that and I have heard at least one story online of someone whose Vector Prime powerlinx port broke off. But it still annoys me to no end.  :tfmad

 

Loose joints and parts is one thing. Some of the parts on Longrack pop off easily but are also easy to put back. I do not mind that. Loose joints I can also live with but this is a completely different story.

 

I probably would not be so annoyed if it happened a year from now (may even be less annoyed tomorrow, who knows?) but this one is brand new and fresh from the box.

 

It being a really cool figure makes the annoyance and pain even greater. Of course I fully realize there are much worse things in life but at this moment I am going to be selfish and be sad about my poor Longrack.

 

I will probably feel better soon. I am not one to sit down and mope. It is just bad luck but at times it seems to happen a lot to me. Oh well, better get on with what I was planning to do before this whole Blot happened.

one of the pegs on my RiD sideways broke off the day I got it.  I was kinda rough with it though.  Luckily, that doesn't affect apperence/functionality of the toy.

I had a Universe Skydive whose leg joint was broken when I opened his card.  Very dissapointing, but I just glued it and he is pretty well ok now.  Other than that, I've been pretty lucky so far.  I recieved a G1 Jetfire off ebay who had a broken shoulder joint, but I just have to live with that one, though he didn't say it was broken, it was sold as is.  He is fine for displaying, though, if you don't look too close.

Oh yeah do I know that feeling. :lol

 

Heres a compiled list of TFs I've had break on me.

 

RID Prowl. I got this one a while back and found the transformation scheme so perplexing and inovative I decided to challenge a good friend who was also into TFs to transform it without offering instructions. First thing he manages to do is snap the the drivers side door completely off, and no it didn't reatach. The entire ball joint housing was snapped in half. :tard I hope to replace either Prowl or the door itself some day.

 

Armada Cyclonus. I bought this one when it first came out with the Armada line and though I didn't think much of it I didn't mind it any. Then I had a really bad habit of lining my TFs up in alt mode on the floor because of lack of shelf space. One morning I accidentally stepped on him in the dark and completely snapped off one of his rear tail wings. Not the worst thing that could happen but having a near perfect line and one of them broken boken bothered me enough to finally nab one off the endcap.

 

Energon Ironhide. I posed him doing a sidekick atop my shelf and during the night he toppled over and hit the floor hard. The fall completely snapped off one of the outer grill pieces that acts as his heel in bot mode. I've had thoughts about replacing this one but I'm not really sure it's worth it.

 

Beastwars Magnaboss. Windrazor. Not exactly new but I got him from a seller on the endcap. One day after transforming him to alt mode for dusting I left the bedroom window open to air out, and the plastic somewhat froze/hardened. Not thinking of it I attemptred to transform him back and snapped off the entire wingspan/head from the rest of the eagle like it was fine china. That one hurt but he still displays just fine.

 

Cybertron Optimus Prime. This ones only minor but still a hell of a piss off. I was transforming him for the third time right after I bought him, and after I moved the chest pieces into place I pushed the groin piece down, and inadvetantly poped the matrix which snapped off two small plastic tabs on the right side plate. This is why I freaking hate flimsy plastic pieces  :grr Still displays great though.

 

Most recently. Alternator Windcharger. I forgot to rotate the wheel back before pulling the grill/bumper piece to the side and snapped it right off with next to no force whatsoever. Since he's mostly in bot mode I just cemented the piece in place and left it. :redface

 

So that's everything that's broken on me thus far and out of 200+ bots that ain't bad.

I think in recent years, I've only had one TF break on me during the zero-day  ownership. Energon Perceptor. Was wanting to play with the ATV..started to transform him into robot mode, and the wheel snapped right off. Returned it to the store, and got my money back. I'm questioning wether I should get another set.

 

The other, was a KO Macross Valkrye, Arm ripped off as soon as I was trying to remove it from the blister.

Takara's right? I've heard numerous rumors of that happening. I only have the one that came with Energon Highwire. He is one tough little dude, he's topped over and hit the floor at least a couple of dozen times. I am sorely tempted to run a series of mythbusting tests to see what will break him. :tflaugh Probably won't though because that'd mean I'd have to add to my aready lengthy list. :redface

 

Also thanks for the compliment, I was under the impression nobody had a clue where she was from. Also the ES is borrowed from another member. His sig got bandwagon'd. I think I forgot to get off seeing a barely anybody sports them anymore.  :P
