Energon kicker...that little guy broke in 2 seconds out of the box. (nice gunsmith cats sig ES)

Takara's right? I've heard numerous rumors of that happening. I only have the one that came with Energon Highwire. He is one tough little dude, he's topped over and hit the floor at least a couple of dozen times. I am sorely tempted to run a series of mythbusting tests to see what will break him. :tflaugh Probably won't though because that'd mean I'd have to add to my aready lengthy list. :redface

Also thanks for the compliment, I was under the impression nobody had a clue where she was from. Also the ES is borrowed from another member. His sig got bandwagon'd. I think I forgot to get off seeing a barely anybody sports them anymore.  :P

nope, it was the Energom kicker/highwire pack.

:P

Tommyboy

i opened the package, and his band inside snaped...

HA! Get this. I had my Energon Kicker on display with my Autobots and my girlfriend was giving me crap about having a human up there. I went to pick him up off the shelf and only his top half came. The rest of him just stood there. It was kinda creepy. I still have him, I hope to one day fix him. But I've heard about kicker's rubber brand just randomly snapping.

Beyond that I must report the loss of Beast Wars Slapper the frog. He took a head dive from one of my shelves and his head couldn't withstand the impact. It snapped right off without a seconds hesitation. :tfsad

Now that you mention it, I have had the exact same problem with Kicker.

I opened the package and noticed the rubber band had snapped. Seeing how I hated Kicker I did not mind that much.

I still got that plastic "bath" he came in so I am keeping him in that. He is not worth fixing though.

Longrack was but I will just have to put him on display not too close to where I usually sit do the damage will not be as noticable.

I am beginning to accept my "loss" (so to speak) as it is something that was caused by flimsy plastics so it had to break one day. One can still see the line where it is broken but other than that it looks ok.

Of course I could look at it with just my left eye and not notice it at all. (Longrack is at an arm's lenght away from me right now.) But that would mean that I could also barely make out his spots as my left eyesight is really poor.  :tflaugh

And with 680 Transformers, casualties are unavoidable indeed. Most of my Action Masters lost several limbs they are not the only ones. But seeing how unique and cool Longrack's al mode is something that will bug one sooner then if some crap bot was damaged.

Of course I could keep them in the packaging but that would defeat the purpose of owning them.

I think there should be a site run by Hasbro to replace such parts. I mean we pay good money for a Transformer. Should it not come with a warranty?

My E-Kicker is ok, but one of my Highwire's knee tabs was broken off in package, so the lower leg pops out at the slightest movement.

When I saw this thread, I was like, "Sweet! Small Soldiers, but with Transformers!" Needless to say I am SEVERELY disappointed.

On that note, I had to take my Energon Tow-line back because the ball joint on his gun was completely shattered. I think it might be something with the mold, because the one I have now is cracked.

The weapon of Tow-Line is a bit loose on mine too. The ball joint which attaches the "radar dish" to the weapon is loose.

One would think such weak points are removed before production.

Well, Hasbro's got a TON of Transformers, and it's not their only line. Mistakes are bound to happen from time to time.

True and I can live with the occasional weak joint or something like that. With thousands being made by poor factory workers who probably do not care about this stuff at all, thing like this are bound to happen.

But the design of Tow-Line's gun makes it somewhat weak and they should not have used a ball joint for the radar attachment but swiwel joint with a metal rod tough it.

The same for the rubber band inside Kicker. I would think that with all the damaged G1 Joe's Hasbro would know it could break easily.

*shrugs* I haven't really encountered any big problems with their toys besides the RiD Megatron's little arms falling off all the time. I took him back because of that.

I don't really play with my Transformers any more anyways. They mainly sit on their shelves, get transformed from time to time, and make me extremely happy. All in all, it's a very good symbiotic relationship.

Do not really play with them either but I do transform them a lot because it gives me something to do and because it is cool.  :tftongue

Most of their time is spent on the shelf or desk or wherever I put them.

I can't think of any TF's that have broken on me like that...........

So i must be due one soon..

(affraid to open pile of Cybertron toys behind me.)
