I have a G1 Hot Rod whose hands are too big for the guns... or maybe the guns are too small for the hands. I dunno which is which.

You have the Targetmaster version and the regular one's guns. I am now stuck with two regular ones. Grumble...

Actually it's the opposite (after looking at those pictures): I have a regular Hot Rod and the Targetmaster guns.

The TM version only has the one Targetmaster. No other guns.

The reissue comes with all of them.... but anyway I got the guns and the figure separately.

Yeah kinda cool that the Reissue comes with the original guns as well.  But they retooled the whole thing to allow for that.

 

The original guns have small handles to go into small hands.  The reissue of course modded the guns with bigger handles to fit hte TargetMaster hands.

 

So if your guns are to small to fit the hands its definately either an original TM or a reissue TM Hotrod.

The reissue fits neither the old one nor the TM version. The reissues TM is too small and other guns are too big. Odd, neh?

You definitely have a regular Hot Rod reissue (could be either the TRU reissue or Japanese reissue, both made from the TM Hot Rod mold). You need regular Hot Rod reissue guns to fit, the original guns will not fit. For sure Firebolt sure won't fit.

I was wondering what a Transmetal Hot Rod was, too...

 

I got the TRU re-issue a while back, from the End Cap.  I've wanted the figure for at least 17 years, so it was great to finally get my hands on one.  No pictures do it justice.
