Seeing as how in the show and the toy Motormaster's trailor was a part of his robot mode... I don't think that would even be possible.

They could do anything on the cartoon. The Autobots disguised themselves as Menasaur. Starscream wore an Optimus Suit. The helmet  covered his shoulder spikes.

Magnus' armor wasnt life support just an extention  like in Dreamwave comics Mags isnt Darth Magnus he is Ultra Magnus

they disguised themselves as the Stunticons. there's a difference. in that episode, they never merged into Menasaur. They also didn't transform into the Stunticons' robot modes.

Oh no, not this again.  Cartoon Ultra Magnus is always Ultra Magnus.  He had a cab for the sake of convenience and to match with the already existing toy.  As a character, he is just Ultra Magnus.  He is not a white Optimus Prime named Magnus who then combines with his trailer.  He is only Ultra Magnus.  I don't care about Diaclone, I don't care about DW's revision, I don't care that the Japanese release the cab as an individual toy.  If you're talking about the cartoon, he is only Ultra Magnus.

Only from behind, from the front there is no clear change at all. Maybe the neck a slight show of red in stead of white, otherwise, no change in the Ultra Prime figure.
