I tell you, Hasbro has NOT dissapointed me with their exclusives. From Energon's Towline and Sharkticon...We now have Hardtop (which is badass) and now Armorhide.

 

First, detail reminds me of Huffer and Pipes. Kind of wish he had a mini trailer...but for fun I had him tow Hardtop around...His transformation is unique! totally different direction than anticipated. Could even see this with a delux sized bot.

 

Now his force chip gimick, MASK worthy. Just because I want to make this joke...Armorhide got a nice rack for his chest! Missle rack that is...lol.Works great in both bot and vehicle mode.

Yeah I just purchased him and was pleasantly suprised. The transformation is very unique but does not hurt the figure's posability (i'm lookin at you Red alert).

If Hardtop had an energon combiner limb connector on the front he'd be awesome.

Every Scout I buy becomes my new favorite (except for Undermine). Has/Tak has really done a great job on the smallest members of our favorite toy line. Heck, the minicons are awesome too.

 

Armorhide is the best so far. I wonder if the Japanese TFans are going to export/import him :tfhuh

Hope to find em myself over the weekend as well as Undermine, and Breakdown. So far from what I understand Armorhide is easily the best out of the buch.

 

Also anybody notice that this time around Hasbro has really pulled out all the stops with the Scouts/Basics. They must've learned something during the Energon run reguarding bigger not aways meaning better. :thumb I'm also impressed that we're getting a decent assortment of Scouts and not just repaints. Though we're getting some pretty awsome repaints (Swerve/Swindle) here's hoping for more original modes like that unamed hovercraft proto a while back. :thumb

Picked up Armorhide and Hardtop yesterday (got one for free due to the TRU sale).

 

My question is this:  Isn't Cybertron/Galaxy Force a Takara engineered line?  If so, are they designing our exclusives too?  Or is it the Armada/Energon crew doing the deed?

Haven't got Armorhide yet, but really REALLY want him. When I saw the pics over at Remy's I was immediately convinced that this was one cool TF.

 

If there is one thing Energon & Cybertron have acheived with me, then it's an interest in the basic/scout class figures. Not counting G-1 the only basics I had before Energon were a few BM drones, and I only bought those because they cost me about $ 3, with international shipping. Energon/Cybertron really gives us some nice basics with good detailing, poseability and molding. Really like it.

basicly Aaron and co at hasbro draw up the concept art this basicly looks like TF fan art then they send it to takara to be enginered and then and changes that need to be done happen.....

i have to agree in this line not 1 basic is lame they all rock and TBH this might be the 1st time i get both the original and the repaint just outa love for the mold ala clocker/swere and hardtop/swindle
