Sorry to have brought it up.  But the point of this thread is our opinions on BT, and my opinion is that for a group of robotic soldiers fighting a never-ending interplanetary war, most of these guys with the exceptions of the Vettes and Mustangs are rather poorly armed.  When compared to their G1 counterparts, the deficiency is even more noticeable; the popgun pistols given to the Jeeps are laughable, and while Overdrive may have a proper gun in Japan his US counterpart Windcharger (and their Decepticon version) are for all intents and purposes unarmed.  I don't really consider them to be different toy lines and stories (since Alts really have no story the BT line will do just fine for me) just different levels of quality for different price points.  I am planning to replace almost all my Alts with BTs eventually, except of course for those characters who are Alt only.  I even plan on getting all the different Smokescreen BT bodies...  that way he can have his GT-system-run clones.

I picked up Sunstreaker in London yesterday and his colours seems to match all over, he looks wicked as a robot as well. I have Sideswipe as Alt and to compare they are pretty similair, Streaker is bigger over all in car mode and looks a bit meaner.

 

I live my Binaltech Hound much more than my alt Swindle, he just feels chunlier in car mode, although as a bot he likes to fall over a lot.

 

I also have Shockwave binaltech his colour is lovely but the bonnet is loose and always pops out, overall I like a mix of the two lines, I tend to buy one mould in metal then repeats in plastic, the Alternaters seem easier to transform.

 

My overall favourite is Tracks though, his metal really gleams and he looks and feels soo cool.

You have to get Smokescreen GT. You will put Alt Smokescreen back in it's box and never ever look at it again! Ever damn it!

Recently I've been really wanting Smokescreen GT. The shiny blue looks so great and the mold is slightly different from the Alt Smokescreen mold. The rocket launcher's a cool plus and he doesn't seem very expensive either compared to the other BTs.
