wow this thread is dusty

just saw g1 OP on The Grimm Adventures of Billy and Mandy in the ep Wishbones. he didn't transform, but it was clearly g1 OP, he was sans trailer though as he was hauling a giant pillow on a flatbed

anywho, it just went off :-P

not sure if its mentioned already, the song "we care alot" by faith no more (used as the theme song for dirty jobs) has a line about transformers in it.

We care a lot about the Garbage Pail Kids, they never lie

We care a lot about Transformers cause there's more than meets the eye...

Okay so I dont know who all knows this but this just completely blew my mind, Brad Garrett best known as Robert Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond voiced Trypticon in the G1 cartoon.

WTF? :lol

WTF? :lol

My thoughts exactly.

That's kinda outta left field.

Don't forget that often actors' voices are unrecognisable in the G1 cartoon because they were digitised - some moreso than others. Look at Soundwave for example. There's one moment in "Roll For It" where they've forgotten to digitise Soundwave's voice and he talks to Ravage in this low growling voice. Clearly this is the voice that Frank Welker provides for Soundwave, and the rest is digitised.

Yeah, it's funny cause Soundwave was his Dr. Klaw (Claw?) voice from Inspector Gadget...

yeah that slips quite a few times, for us children of the 80's it's obvious too :-P

i wouldn't ever fix it though, it just wouldn't be g1 without screw ups
