Alt Wheeljack

Recommended Posts

my woman transformed grimlock for me. usually when i get them they sit in pairs of two or three so she'll take one and i'll take another one and we'll transform them. like right now what's left to transform into robot mode is wheeljack, swerve, decepticharge.

i'll probably wait and transform these when i find prowl. then they'll all go in my case with all the rest of the robos

Funny someone else mentions the first Grimlock, because I've been thinking of getting another one myself after putting a scratch in the back roof of mine.  It's the only blemish on any of my Alts and it bothers me to no end.  I just don't know if it bothers me enough to divert $20 that could go to new TFs on replacing one I already have. :tfgrin

Snapped in half.  right at the god forsaken gearshift hinge.  Barret Jackson auto auction on tv drove me nuts I hate that show.

I managed to transform Grimlock the first time without popping out the doors... but somehow, I managed to pop out his forearms when they're still connected together (I couldn't get his arms/shoulders out from under the car)...  Yes, I'm an idiot.  :P

The forearms on my Alt. Grimlock pop off if you look at them; however, on Wheeljack they're nice and snug.

Strangely enough, I've only popped a door off my Alternator Grimlock once...  Getting those arms in and out is simply a relatively straightforward process of careful manipulation with about thirty steps and frequent backtracking and...  I did say relatively simple, right?

The thing I noticed about the BT/ALT Grimlock/Wheeljack is that the arms transform exactly the opposite way you think they should, i.e. the shoulder hinge actually swings towards the back of the car instead of the front.  Someone earlier mentioned that the transformation is counterintuitive, and that is right on.  These guys frustrate me almost as much as Shockblast's hood popping off whenever I pull his head out.  Frickin' pain in the ass, but I still buy 'em!

I regret breaking it but the Grimlock I have now I know exactly how to transform every section.  That wide horseshoe bar in the front its a pain in the ass or at least it was until I figured out how to deal with it.

Was I the only one clueless on how the head came through the roof. I went by the instructions and it took me a good 10 minutes to figure out what they were showing me to do. The sad thing is I already own and transformed grimlock several times and wheeljack was still a complete mystery to me. I was never accused of being smart though. Anyhow the instructions that come with the alts. r horrible. I had an easier time with my Bt Hound and his instructions were in Japanese

I have never really cared for the instructions for any of the BTs, the line drawings can be a Starscream to read, for the most part it's not a problem but Grimmy & Wheeljack, it sucks.

I thought about swapping BT Grimlock roof part that scratched with a ALT's.  I don't remember if that will help or not...probably not.

Yea try custom painting one of the mustangs and then trying to transform it...might as well use glue on the joints.
