What I think is funny is his "transforming difficulty" is marked as a 3 I think. And then Cybertron Starscrem is a 4, and he is the easiest Transformer ever.  Size matters I guess

Yeah. Looking at the Energon line, you get slugslinger rated at about a 2 (he was THE most difficult Energon fig to TF) and and Omega Supreme a 4 when he's as easy as falling off your chair.

I don't put much stock in their ratings.

Me either, as they're just rated by size, which is lazy on Hasbro's part.

I guess since I can tranform it without parts popping off it qualifies as easy for me now.

The Mustang alts are the very hardest to transform.

:pfx and that makes him nicer to me.  I really feel like I get my money's worth when I get some much frustration fun out of TFing him for 10 minutes.

Personally, I think it has to do with size. Basics are level 1, deluxe 2, mega/ultra 3 and ultra/supreme 4. (Have never actually checked this, but it seems right.)

I think the whole reason why you can't transform a mustang without popping off the doors, is because the door panels can't slide back far enough. On my extra Wheeljack I implemented the little door modification which enables the doors to hang behind the arms (thought of by TFmaster). When I transform this one I can actually transform him without having to pop the door off. It's still difficult, but it is then possible -- something I can't say for the original design.

I end up popping the doors off by accident anyway.  you really don't want to know how frustrated I got with the first grimlock.

I think that last part tells us what we need to know.

Yeah the hint was "the first" grimlock.

Funny someone else mentions the first Grimlock, because I've been thinking of getting another one myself after putting a scratch in the back roof of mine.  It's the only blemish on any of my Alts and it bothers me to no end.  I just don't know if it bothers me enough to divert $20 that could go to new TFs on replacing one I already have. :tfgrin

I'm more of a "displayist" (if that's a word), so I don't do much TFing unless its really fun.  With Grimmy and WJ's mold, it's not that fun...
