dont forget the satisfaction of destroying some fool in his overpriced sports car with a properly tuned sleeper.

let trion talk his bs,because

You can think a overpriced pile of crap is fast, but in the end it's still a overpriced pile of crap.

and really if you gave me the 80k you would spend on a viper and let me put it in a turbo 6 cylinder...there is NO way the viper will win!

actually there is a video that proves this,it can be found on kazaa.

oh and about this

KP a civic is NOT a sports car. Its original design is an economy car

well to get technical the viper was originally designed to be a rag top middle age crisis mobile......and the generation civic i speak of[96-00]was engineered as a sports car all the way from the suspension to the engine.

i am sorry but for less than half the price of a so called sports car,ill take a civic ek type-r anyday......and with the 55k i have left over ill buy you some nice fuzzy dice

Well, true a civic is not a sports car, but with a little money (OK a good bit of money) a civic can be made into a nice handeling fast car.

I think (notice it's an opinioin) it's really good that people can take a $10k civic, put about $5-$10k into it and make it beat a stock viper in a 1/4 mile. Not reall for me (I'ld rather have a rally car) but I do like the civics that are modded.

Well, crap man, do alts NEED to be sports cars? Look at Hound.. A Jeep Wrangler is SOOO far from a sports car.. so far he's the only off road one they got. Yeah sure, bring the civic on. Variety is the spice of life... or some corny ass saying.

I'm not talking about modded civics, like I said any car can be made fast with enough money. My point wasn't that with the money saved buying a civic instead of a Viper or a Corvette could be put into mods. I'm talking about stock for stock a Civic is not a sports car. Ok the Si model and such are "sporty" yes but there is a difference between being sporty and being a sports car. The term sports car is thrown around WAY too much in todays age.

Just to clarify I'm not trying to say that a civic is a piece of crap. The reason I said that was a generalization meaning ok you can throw all the money into whatever cheap car you want but in the end it's still a cheap car. I'm not trying to say you're less of a man or whatever you want to read into what I said.

I'm simply saying that ok yeah you made a civic fast congratulations, but in all honesty it's still a civic. You can apply that to any car that you are modifying to do something it wasn't originally intended to do.

Oh, and just so you know it's a common misconception that just because something has a V8 it gets bad gas mileage. Did you know that the EPA rating for an LS1 corvette (C5) is 19city/28highway I'd call that far from horrible gas mileage. While it's not the outrageous numbers of economy cars, it's respectable for the power output.

I know everyone is entitled to their opinion I was just stating mine. I personally don't care for the whole "import tuner" whatever you want to call it. That doesn't mean that I won't give a fast import respect or anything. I mean ok if someone has a fast car no matter what it is I'll show respect and tell them cool car, but does that mean I have to like it? No. I'll just show the car and the driver respect and be on my way.

Call me ignorant or whatever you want I'm just stating what I know, if you don't like what I have to say oh well I'm not here to please everyone nor do I expect that from anyone else. Thats why we are all different.

Dude it's not about name calling, and yes I think everyone has the right to their own opinion. But that opinion need not be expressed in the manner of down right disrespecting someone else’s ideas and opinions (which is more or less what you did by saying what KP thought was cool was crap), a simple I don’t really like the import turner market would have been fine.

But whatever......

yeah pretty much. You basically Dissed his opinion while saying everyone is entitled to their own.

I meant what I said as a general term not aimed at a specific car I even clarifed that in my post before this one, but if you still wish to call me the bad guy in this whatever. I said what I said it can't be taken back now.

Also I'm not the only one who said something about the import scene, You are trying to put words in my mouth and say that I was calling his car crap when I wasn't.

Nothing against anyone, I know we have some Japanesse people who post here. But I hate Japanesse cars for many of the same reasons posted above. Mostly because of the "Fast and the Furious" crud kids these days are sporting, or trying to sport at least.

Give me a Mustang or a vette any day of the week. I'm actually looking foward to the Dodge Ram Alt. I hope it's a Con like Motormaster.

Instead of complaining about something silly like the noise these cars make, perhaps you instead ought to be complaining about all the morons these days who just must have a giant Hummer or Escalade that burns gas at a rate of 4 miles to the gallon! :tfmad

Isn't it just SO nice to know that with these idiots sucking up all the oil reserves that you're ALL going to have to be driving electric automobiles within the next 20 years? Where's your revving engine sounds going to be then? It'll all be quiet cars swishing down the highway instead.

The nice benefit for those of who who live near the highway will be less noise, and, well, if you're a music lover you've be able to hear what you're listening to properly in your car, instead of cranking it up so high that your ears bleed just so you can hear it over your engine. :thumb
