i have an idea on how to better explain the TF's

Recommended Posts

the past three tf series had kid sidekicks that, for the most part, were just there. well, here's my suggestion on how to better intergrate them into the story:

make them the next step in humanity's evolution. now this idea is probably stollen from Digimon but the concept is, as society becomes more and more technologically developed, it starts to have an influence on humanity's evolution. as a resault, the kid sidekicks are humans that have an instinctive knack when it comes to technology. it's easy for them to understand how a piece of technology works as well as how to repair/opperate it. it's only fitting that the autobots would choose technological whiz-kids as their liason with Earth.

I don't know. Kicker was way more involved than most people liked. I've only seen like 8 Episodes of Cybertron and those kids have their hands in every thing. They just dont annoy me as much as the Armada kids. And the Cyb kids repaired Landmine of the first episode, does that count as whiz kid status?

pretty much but it would be nice if we had a better explanation as to why they're so prolific with cybertronian technology.

"Gears, Wire relays! Pieces of cake!"

I expected Hornet to suggest a new Masterforce, oh well.

I would hope that the next stage of human evolution would be cooler than "hey I'm good with machines." ANAKIN'D

i think the purfect way to mix humans and TF's is with a gi.joe style cross over with maybe 1 wizz kid whos like chip and stays at base camp

to tell the truth, i would love it if the kid sidekicks got their own transforming mechs to pilot, which they would be able to because of their evolutionary affrimity with machinery. at least that way they wouldn't be totally useless. they wouldn't have to make up the whole team, just a sub-group.

Yeah - bought the Cybertron DVD and i am really horrified by the show so far...

I didnt watch energeon so the voice changes are not so shocking (and all in all not the worst part about the show)

What i dont understand is why the 12 year olds are telling the autobots how to build secret bases or parallel park....

i wouldnt want a 12 year old telling ME how to drive much less a warmachine that is a million years old how to build a military base...

WTF?!?!

One thing i would really like to see explored (and this is not going to happen i realize) is TFs from a Warren Ellis/Ray Kurzweil perspective.

For those who are unfamiliar - Ellis is one of the Lead Sci-Fi/comic Cynics writers out ther

Kurzweil is one of the lead inventors/designers of Modern AI (invented OCR - and if you know what that is its frigggen sweet)

so the two things that they both suggest a great deal in their writings are:

1) Technology will continue to get smaller and more imbeded into individuals as we progress... imagine the progress of the Personal Computer in the last 20 years now make it that much smaller and faster and inject THAT computer into your brain or veins.

2) Humans will continue to "evolve" and the next step in that progression is Humans developing the equivilent of dual pentium-processors (and i mean this with OUT any implants)- which as near as i can understand it means that things like "multitasking" will be common.

i guess the easiest way to explain it would be that: "ambidexterous-ness" will be the norm (someone who is "Right handed" would be technically disabled). or having Periferal vision actually be in complete focus and the individual able to pay close attention to detail.

These are oversimplifications - but it seems that the more that humans interact with TFs - the more they should "evolve" in this way Naturally.

which might suggest that little kids would beable to interact with Technology at an almost intuitive level...

Not to mention the promise of what NanoTechnology means Transformers (think T1000/BM but with NO kibble right??)

Ok - now i have made a complete mess of these guys Briliant works and Cybertron is still atrocious but i hope i made some sense....

Hunter

Our bodies are already machines, just not metallic ones. We're only using a small percentage of our existing potential.

And Cybertron is ghey.
