the tf fandom is bitterly divided

Recommended Posts

the tf fandom has dozens of different sub-factions, some like G1, some like BW, and some like AEC. if Hasbro tries to please one sub-faction, the others will Starscream endlessly. here's the solution: multiple tf toylines. one would be a G1 Redux, the other would be a BW Redux, and another would be an all new series without any homages to a previous toyline. plus, there would be Reissues from all previous lines as well as Alternators for those who want realistic alt-modes.

the solution would probably bankrupt Hasbro but it would be worth it for everyone to finally stop Starscreaming and be satisfied.

and now you see the irony? ;)

I see what you're saying Hornet and honestly I'm one of those fans that couldn't give two $%!#s about the arguing. Granted I do think that Armada sucked and that Beast Machines was a waste of CGI, but I still hold the series in high regards. I like the toys, live for the comics and the TV shows are still saved on VHS tapes. The thing that I always listen to is the character stuff. Who's named what, who's become 'what' now, so forth so on. I listen to my older brother go on a rant about "how his childhood is bastardized" by such things as Force Chips. All things aside its still what we know and what we liked in the first place that makes us all fans. If you want real blood for blood arguing, ask the MAHQ guys about Gundam. Then you're really in for an earfull of crap.

They been pleasing us forever or atleast trying. And we complain. I'm trying to be less bitchy because I now realize every decision happens for a reason. One thing that's coming to my mind right now about bitchy fans is yellow Tracks. Every one complained, Hasbro change it and then we had people suddenly wanted a yellow one? It's like  :stfu

There is no division - Transformers were always about "robots in disguise" and it's been like that since - nothing's changed. Why categorize yourself to subjective groups? G1/G2/Machine Wars/BW/BM/RID/Armada/Energon/Cyberton/Alternators/Universe - it's all the same.

Hornet, even if they did that, I'd still be pissed.  You forgot to include RiD fans.

Plus, they should air all the series on tv at once, so that fans get to see the best show no matter which one they like.

I like all Transformers, but there is a limit to what can be done to please one particular 'group'.  The G1 rubes have received several things just for them.  A reissue line, Alternators of G1 characters in updated forms, homages in the main line (which is basically G1 redux.)

I'm glad to see that they're moving to 'please' the BW rubes.  Hopefully after the movie something will come that will be different.
