I have the 20th Prime but not wanting UM for obvious reasons of the Armor. That and I cant stand repaints. Worst idea ever.

Well I said "Whats wrong with u people?" completely tonge in cheek but its cool.  The G1 toy's cab part was yes, an OP repaint...but that was just the cab...not the entire toy.  This was a lazy move and the fact that ppl buy this stuff is why they will never release more original MPs unfortunately.

 

 

u do realize this is a white optimus prime right?  heh...i cant believe people can look past the fact that this was just a lazy move of a release that looks nothing like the actual character.  Whats wrong with u people?

what's your point here? so was the generation one toy. hell, scourge who is a fan favorite is a prime in black. asking what's wrong with us for buying a repainted toy makes you look like an ass. of course it looks like the character, simply minus the armor. i can live with that. i like it better this way.

beyond all Q, MP is a classic series. like its name

i love him... i sold one of my sealed 20th prime to pay for him... i acutally came out a couple bucks on top... but that's the only way i would pay for him... (i was going to repaint a 20th prime white... so this is just the same thing... without taking him apart)

I think the old ultra magnus with the armor is not that hot to start with.

 

the only reason i like ultra magnus is blue is one of my favortie colors and not to mention

 

ultra magnus from rid and energon easily make one of my favorite transformers from all time. and the fact that it keeps the old G1 character from the movie alive and progressing.

 

the movie was freakin awesome so all characters associated with it are in league all their own.  :thumb

No disrespect to those that like MP Magnus but I am not a huge fan of this repaint. He looks cool and all but I feel like he would make my MP Prime (which is the correct colors :P) "not so special." I don't really like Prime look-alikes (except for RID Scourge) anyway.

 

Plus Ultra Magnus looks nothing like that in my small world. If you watch him in the geewun cartoon there is nothing whatsoever to allude to the misnomer that he was just a white Prime underneath his cab armor. The g1 toy is solely responsible for creating this "myth" (:tflaugh).

 

But, as the saying goes, to each his own. Some like Magnus better than Prime and I won’t stop anyone from buying him. It’s just a matter of personal taste.

When I did not make up my mind on buying MP-02 UM, I considered him like Albinos Prime ( white with red eyes ) but the more pics I saw ( pics of the toys Dreamwave's charismatic character ) and the more I wanted him so I broke down. I consider his colour as a military snow suit. Now we have 2 MP leaders and we need a Decepticon one...

It's a shame about the lack of Armor, but besides that, I love this one. I actually like Magnus better than Convoy/Prime, just because of the colors. I think the white looks really great on him.

 

 

As for MP-03... You know I'm actually hoping Takara will release a third version of this mold as Scourge/Black Convoy. Of course, I would like to see some small changes, to make it more like CR Black Convoy/RiD Scourge:

 

- head needs to be altered to more resemble Black Convoy

- No matrix and no matrix chamber (make it some cool inside)

- Different set of weapons: twin barrel gun and a sword of fury, instead of the current riffles and axe.

Instead of a Matrix chamber, they should give the mold an actual cab; make him an Alternator. That would rawk!

and, i think MP2 really good, i dont think MP1 have good quality. so, mp2 really worth to buy. only small defect is wrong english on the box...(same as MP1 )

btw, Albinos prime? i think same as the last episode of animation. rebirth  of convoy
