I have a 1:48 scale F15 Eagle and I`m planning to turn it into Starscream but I need to know how they did the transformation on the RM Starscream so that mine will be able to work similarly. So if anyone who has RM Starscream could post the instructions I`d appreciate it. :tfgrin

I will see what I can do for you tonight. It's pretty much the exact same transformation sequence as the G1 versions...

 

Also, how did you do your sig? I want to do something similar with my BT NP. Do you photoshop the pics together or something?

the only differences form g1's transformation is that the legs teloscopicly extend in robot mode, rather than removing the hands, the fold down at the wrist (toward the ground) jet mode and rather than removing the wings, they are on an "L" shaped axel. oh, the landing gear is not removable in front, it folds into the neck. there are also some extra joints, but they can be inproved.

Well A&O that helps some but I really need the insrtuctions so I can decifer how the nose folds and where the rear horizontal stabilizers go. Also to see exactly where they have all of the bot mode parts stashed in alt mode and vise versa.

It`s the 1:48 F 15 C from Revell Monogram I don`t have any pics of th jet it`s self but basically if you`ve seen the seekers you`ve seen the F 15. :tfgrin

I actually have 2 different 1:48 f-15 models for my SS project... but I'm waiting until I have a few /finished/ customs under my belt. I've had some ideas about the interaction between the lower calves and the feet and ways to make the tail wings fold up and out of the way in bot mode..but haven't actually drawn them out on paper yet. If you run into design troubles there maybe I could tell you what my thoughts were. I look forward to seeing your WIP as maybe it'll help me out with mine too. If it's half as good as your Rods it'll be a worthy custom. Good luck dude.

Well...there's where we'd have to take a good look at MP Prime, and see how it compares to the jet in size.  If you say slap it to his back, would it estimate to be about the same size head, arms and legs? 

 

THEN what you could do is strip prime down (if it would work) and figure out how to rework the legs so at least their fronts would look jet like (backs if done right would be hidden by the other 1/2 and back of the jet engines).  Replace the feet so the front would be those triangular bits (hinges are there, just have to figure how to make them work so the nose would fold up) and clamp on the booster rocket for feet. 

 

The arms is the key, and might need to build a whole new body and just rip off the arms and legs, attaching them to something else.  I'd have them fold up and under like G1 Jetfire, and NOT like the classic jets.  That section is a mess of trouble, and too small to work with effectively.  Primes arms with the blocky structure and fold up hands might work good.  Holes in the sides would also be nice mounts for blasters. 

 

The head even could be reworked (though I'd seriously put into consideration the GF Screamer head cause I'd like to have like primes head sitting on my desk rather than ruin it).  I'd do like jetfire on that as well, folding and tucking mount in between the chest boosters (does the model even have those? 

 

Build the jet first, and show me a side by side shot of a MP Prime and the jet and we can see better.  Or else if its too big (which with that scale sounds like it is) Unicron?  Lots of good joints and things there. 

 

Or else get your self a MP Screamer, and stick some better arms and legs on him.  I got a fake coming to see for my self how good/bad the thing is...
